    Packers - Vikings

Wasn't as close as the score showed. Pack had a great chance at 2nd and Goal at the >1' line. Two passes, and the football gods declared 'game over'.

    Has Obama lost it?

We haven't recovered from Wilson yet; let alone FDR, LBJ, Nixon, or Carter. I'm thinking it'll take a good 50-100 years to recover from Obama, if we survive that long.

    C & M trucking, any input

I run for them. I don't know of any company I'd rather be with. They don't baby you, yet they're friendly. You're expected to know your stuff. It's as close as a business to business relationship I'd expect you'll find in expediting, without signing on with an independent carrier. Miles have...

Like Dave, I too was trying to figure out how 1.00/mi would bring in a true profit. My comments were geared more toward the drivers who allow themselves to be run hard for pittance. My only comment toward you was that you seem to know how everyone can trim their costs to run at an A.Blair level...

I wonder if I can pay my tax bill in miles.

    True story

Ahh... but that's irrelevant, since both Panther and E1 have contract rates. Yes, Panther and E1 are going to bid high on loads they know they can get for a good price. In the end, it tends to even out against the runs they make a couple of cents off to move their trucks.

I'll take the onions without the liver, and as little NLM as possible, thank you. :D I find it interesting that a company owner can tell people how much they need to survive. Yes, with no extra costs, it can be done. But I figured that an owner paying a team 40% (which is .40 at 1.00/mi), fuel...

Dave makes a good point. Trucks that are running at 1.00/mi are not usually getting taken care of. That preventive maint. and repair money has to come from somewhere. And if it's competing with household bills, the truck will come up short. Granted, the trucks with 500,000 on them are less than...

    It's ALWAYS racism

When political correctness grabbed the handles of racism, we became unable to laugh together with those of other races about our differences. Since we have little else in common, we just don't talk at all, anymore.

    Tonight's Healthcare Speech.....

Funny he mentions politicians lying, among others. Usually, they refrain from using that word. Guess nothing is sacred... like presidents not criticizing former presidents.

Obama to nation: Give me your children.

It's funny you mention that. There's a saying about "Those who can't do, teach." Wilkow brought up great points about his professors... all of them knew how to spew, but none had experience in the field they spewed about. No wonder they're libs! Which brings me to another point... libs are...

    New to the business

It was a matter of a couple of months ago that people were willing to bust their butts for their company, but the loads weren't there for them. In a couple of months, it'll be the same way again. If you have the determination to get out on the road and see the sights, then take my advise and...

    New to the business

Good advice, Crazy. But the guy sounds like he already made up his mind. Others apparently forgot about all the McDonald's posts in the last 9 months. Now, they're giving him the deals of the day.

    Fun with numbers

Control is restricting freedoms... in this case, freedom of choice. It's not a scare tactic. It's a fact of life. The more power the government gets, the less freedoms we have.

As far as I'm concerned, a libertarian is just another form of conservative. Both believe in the Constitution. Don't mince words with me, mister! :p

Man's Finger Bitten Off At Health Care Rally...

"He was described as a short man with a medium build, wearing a blue cap, black shirt and black shorts." Are we missing something here?
