I mounted the scanner on the flip side of the [passenger] visor, and the cable stays plugged in. Most of the very long cable is tucked into a pocket on the visor, with the USB poking out. I pull a foot or so to connect to QC, and the rest if connecting to the laptop which is on the bed. Works...
