    Too many vans!

Yes, so I didn't suggest anyone save money by snagging a few extra condiment packs!

    Truck first aid kit.

Pssst: neither do I [know how to change the belts], lol. But if one needs changed, [esp in an emergency roadside sitch] I'd rather hand them the belt I paid a couple bucks for than let them provide one for $182.50.

    Perpetual Motion

Zorry, do you mean the kind that checks the voltage, or constantly monitors it? I have only found the first kind at the brick & mortar stores.....at least in a 12v version, not plugin/ AC.

    Truck first aid kit.

Wow - my first aid kit has bandaids, gauze, antibiotic & burn ointment! When I use the stuff in your first aid kit, I end up needing the stuff in mine, lol. Seriously: it's smart to keep extra filters, belts, bulbs, etc on hand too. And a Snickers, just because. ;)

    Perpetual Motion

I'm waiting for the acknowledged battery guru Turtle to respond - but meantime, I'd suggest a $20 investment in a voltage meter that monitors the battery power available. [Also measures usage draw of various gadgets & 'stuff'] I've found them only online, but it's worth the $20, definitely -...

    Too many vans!

We do. I have one in the truck, but when I didn't, I got my azz out and walked to the nearest one. But it's irrelevant, methinks - if a month is "too long" to stay out, you won't be expediting very long anyhow.

    Too many vans!

The good news: you'll have plenty of free time to absorb the critical info provided by Turtle, OVM, Xiggi [all successful Sprinter guys] and others, as Jan/Feb is a slow time for expedite. The bad news: You'll probably spend a lot of the time away from home, which is tough on your family [esp...

    Driving Record question

Highway Star is correct: the carrier's standards are set by the insurance requirements, and they don't really care about owner vs driver, it's all about the liability [or potential] reflected by the driver's record. With 13 points now, yours is not very good. I'd call the recruiters and ask if...

    Tom and Tina Evans

It's really wonderful to see a truck win because it's been loved and cared for, rather than because it's got all the bells & whistles [and they're all chromed!]. Love and work mean more than splashing money about - and Tom & Tina absolutely deserved to win. :D

East coast port strike could threaten Economy

I only understood the last 4 words [can't find the decoder ring!] but it's still the funniest thing I've read all night. ;)

National Gun Buy Back Program/ New York Gov says confiscation/mandatory buy back

I want to see a vid of these doctors cutting a watermelon with paring knives...

    Sprinter vs Cargo van?

And some have a very annoying habit of reading what you wrote instead of what you meant. I also thought that 'hydrolic' referred to a waterbed, & was gonna ask WTH?! but Moot beat me to it. I'd still like to hear about the hydraulic bed, though - how does it work?

    Dec locations...more or less

It's a bit delayed, but makes up for it in intensity. I was pretty optimistic this morning, being the only S/T in the SW Cleveland area - until the snow got ridiculous [the mayor asked that everyone leave work by 1:00!] and then the hope for a load became a hope to stay in the truck...

    Reminder: Reward Yourself!

I don't even have a card any more. I only use TA when it's something minor, like a few weeks ago, I needed a quick fuel filter change [had a load onboard] at midnight. Luckily they had the time and I had a spare filter [cause they didn't] and I made delivery on time - but still had to recite...

    In 1923, Who Was ....

Considering how many incredibly intelligent & knowledgeable people hang out here, leaving them speechless could go either way - in your case, it's a compliment. ;)

    Reminder: Reward Yourself!

Not only must you swipe your card at the kiosk to use reward points at TA [good luck if the kiosk is down], you must choose increments of $5.00, and any leftover points [take $10, spend $8.50] are lost. It's just nowhere near as convenient as the PFJ rewards card. Same as the shop, where you...
