I think the reason a lot of conservatives are how Turtle says, is because libs do have that "if it feels good, do it" attitude. They also have an f-it attitude when it comes time to pay the piper for "doing it". That's the main difference between liberals and libertarians... consequences.

One other thing... this isn't for Congress to fix. They already did the damage to Detroit by making it a welfare experiment. This city used to be great. Now it's a soulless pit of despair, thanks to having its inhabitants treated like children; not to mention said citizens embracing that treatment.

Detroit is depopulating, sending its inhabitants into the suburbs. Needless to say, the attitude of the Detroit natives is spilling out into the burbs, and effectively devolving the area, IMO. I can see it in the way people drive, just from last year. Very careless... changing lanes before...
