    What would you do?

Yes...I'm just a wannabe :+ I was planning to stay home through the first week of the new year, but decided that since the situation dictates differently, I'll probably head out pretty quick after Christmas if there is any freight to be had. I'll just be trading time before Christmas for time...

    What would you do?

thx, I am solo and running for TranStewart (mostly auto freight). Getting a load going out from Memphis is probably not a problem, but getting something that brings me back anywhere close to home is probably not gonna happen within a week's time. Thanks for the input, Rocketman

    What would you do?

I would appreciate some advice on this subject. I was planning to stay out until next weekend then come home from Christmas and stay through new year day at least...maybe a little longer. I had some pressing issues that came up at home, so now here I am. Now I have the problem of deciding...

    Team looking for good owners

WOW! I'll be sure to direct them to this thread! LOL They do have internet at home...and I have directed them to this site already. I am a solo driver and a newbie so I would prefer that they get their information from others. They can read all they want, but I think personal contact would...

    Team looking for good owners

I have a friend who is an experienced flatbed t/t driver. His wife will be joining him on the road soon. He wants to be her trainer. I have strongly encouraged them to research the expedited field as I feel it is a much better lifestyle for a h/w team. I am looking for anyone who would be...

    lift axle controls

Thanks for the comments everyone. The axle is being installed now. I think I may have the controls put in the cab until I'm forced to do other wise. I'm actually thinking of keeping the pressure regulator outside, but I would really like to have the lift/drop control within reach.

    lift axle controls

Hello everyone. For those of you who have a lift axle (tag or pusher), where do you have your controls? I've been told that the pressure regulator could not be within reach of the driver. I've also been told that the raise/lower switch couldn't be within reach of the driver. I realize that it...

RE: Are you allowed to use a gas powered generator Would a gas powered generator not create enough Carbon Monoxide to become a danger to you and others nearby?

    Transtewart

Thanks ABEJR. And Col. I have to agree with you... of course percentage wise, there may just be as many people from the smaller companies on here as the larger ones? Thanks to everyone who has offered advice and comments still welcome about TranStewart.

    Transtewart

Ok, now that I've talked to a few Landstar and a few Fedex drivers, I would like to find out if there are any more Transtewart drivers out here. I've talked to one guy that was signed on to them a while back. He was very helpful and seemed to be pretty happy there. Are there any Transtewart...

    Landstar/FDXCC

I have to admit that I see some of the posts made by the col. today are actually civil. I'm sure everyone appreciates that. I do have a lot of respect for the col. or any other person that has fought for our great country...as long as they will allow me at least some measure of respect in...

    Landstar/FDXCC

I've got plenty of humor in me, but I've read through these forums alot lately and I've seen the posts this guy makes and I've not seen a single post that was meant to be helpful. Every post is rude, sarcastic, and out right mean spirited. If a sense of humor is what it takes to deal with...

What do owner's expect drivers to be able to do?

RE: What do owner's expect drivers to be able to d I have to disagree with "theoldprof"...a real mechanic wipes the blood off on his pants leg, curses a blue streak and then continues about his business grumbling and griping the rest of the day! At least that's what I do! LOL

    Landstar/FDXCC

Hey Col. I have read a lot of threads on this forum and actually have respect for most people with a military background. But, it seems that every post you make anymore is condescending to someone. For my part, if you can't say something constructive, I would just as soon you didn't contribute...

    Landstar/FDXCC

John, I probably should have worded that statement differently. I've actually heard many good things about Landstar and hardly any negatives. I'm guessing that any company is prone to have days, weeks and even months of slow freight volume. From what I've gathered so far, Landstar has no...

    Fuel additives

<<the neighbor kid had to buy a new fuel tank, injectors, pump and the cost of disposal of the fuel>> LOL...that'll teach him to siphon fuel out of your tanks! Sorry, just couldn't help it...that's exactly where it sounded like that story was headed when I read it..LOL

What do owner's expect drivers to be able to do?

RE: What do owner's expect drivers to be able to d Just curious...what about fuel filters? The company I'm currently driving for (flatbed t/t) doesn't allow us to change the fuel filters or do anything mechanical. I do understand that they probably have a lot of drivers who would mess this up...
