Yep....they will last a good stretch if taken care of. Even a rebuild they will go a long time sleeved. One would likely give up a little on displacement, but nothing greater than say 5 percent.

If they are already two hours into it and they say three for a rebuild, let them rebuild the one you have. You are looking at three hours for the rebuild plus the kit. That shouldn't be too bad. Labor at Freightliner should be under 100K. Then again.....I forgot about "shop supplies";)

I don't think a half hour break is going to benefit vans one way or the other. The regulated solo truck still has 11 hours drive time so nothing has changed short of arriving a half hour later.
