    Talladega race anyone ?

It's more fun in Alabama because stock car racing is a redneck thing and the rednecks know how to do it right. I grew up 60 miles south of Daytona and used to do all the races, speed weeks and bike weeks. Five days in the in field will cure whatever ails you.

    A sweet tip

I delivered this morning at the Hershey plant. After the delivery the women that signed my paperwork handed me three Kit Kat bars and three packages of Reese's cups. Sweet.

You’re going to tow my truck where?

No laws were broken. That was the point of this thread. Everything was done by the book and it still turned into mess.

You’re going to tow my truck where?

The total run was 569 miles including DH. The guard was very specific that they would unload me at 0600 and then I had to leave the property as they had no truck parking area.

    any advice?

Flat rate trucks have an assigned dispatcher that you work with everyday. You can develop a rapport with them.

You’re going to tow my truck where?

Nope. FedEx only allows you to use personal conveyance if you are not under a load and you have the legal hours to drive. My 14 hour clock had run out, which means I could not move without violating HOS.

    any advice?

I've been running solo as a flat rate D truck for 3 weeks now. 7585 paid miles in the last 23 days. I've had 4 weekend runs. 1106 miles, 1670 miles, 1002 miles and 632 miles. Does your dispatcher know you want to do the long runs and that you are capable of doing them and managing your clock?

    National Security Morons

I would too, except for the ridiculous detention times. They package it well enough to withstand a major collision or other type of accident.

The only ones driving this truck are my wife, myself and the owner of the shop in Florida that maintains it. Posted with my Droid EO Forum App

You’re going to tow my truck where?

In the interest of fairness I am the one who chose the Walmart as it was only 2.5 miles from the receiver and I only had 24 minutes left on my clock. Posted with my Droid EO Forum App

You’re going to tow my truck where?

The purpose of the tow truck was because I was out of hours and with an EOBR I can not move the truck without an HOS violation. If I had been towed I wonder what would have happened when I started the truck and it was in a different location?

You’re going to tow my truck where?

On Wednesday I was offered a load picking up in Kentucky and delivering in South Carolina, 569 total miles. I quickly accepted. At 1352 I was sent a message, “Do not move, confirming ETA’s” At 1414 I was sent another message, “It’s a go”. So I started my clock with a pretrip inspection. I...
