Most of the carriers are 5-7 yrs on Tractors and 10yrs on Straights and C/Vans but want newer. Some will take them if they pass an inspection, so that's a tuff question to answer. Call around with the company's your looking at and ask a Recruiter. Surely they can't lie about that one.:D;)

Sounds to me like it's your first truck maybe? Never ever trust a truck dealer let alone the salesman. Always wave the money under their nose then when you get what you wanted let them have it and not before.;)

I'm not going to discredit Panther but, that is the last place I would put a C/Van even if I was driving it myself. You should PM Dave and pick his brain, he's been there a long time. Not to many owners on EO will speak positively about their program.

That's a really good question. I would say that the carrier's insurance with the carrier underwriting them. I always wondered how some school graduates get in with a carrier. The only way I can see it if the carrier is self insured. To be self insured they must have a million dollar cash...
