Sprinter as a family transport vehicle

I am working on a theory that the sprinter works best as a one owner vehicle. It is a delicate piece of finely engineered machinery. Is an airport shuttle vehicle going to be cared for as properly as an owner operated vehicle? I can't picture it. eb

    Parking on the ramps

In the never do it, but if it's an emergency catagory, I'd rather use the entrance ramp than the exit side. The oncoming traffic should be going slower. --eb

    charging batteries, a finer detail

I'm using two Lifeline GPL-6CT batteries in series. They are the tallish dimensioned, 96 lbs, six volt batteries for 300 amp-hrs of storage. I'm using two Xantrex dc controllers for the time being. One along with a battery temperature sensor controls charging and the other controls the load...

    charging batteries, a finer detail

Okay, I just installed a set of auxiliary batteries in my sprinter. I now have the ability to finely tune the voltage levels of charging. If the battery manufacturer gives me a voltage range for bulk and float, do I shoot for the middle of the range or does it make a difference if I go higher...

    whoops.

It's a box of his straps. The box is upside down, because the top is open and the driver wants the box to stay closed. So does this mean geekologie and Dan Nosowitz get the award for being dumber than a truck driver? eb

    mysprintervan.com

It's sort of lonely over at the up-and-running, now-operational mysprintervan.com. A couple people have had a couple technical questions that I'm not up to answering, but I know we have some here that could help. eb

the seven people you meet at expo

It was nice to meet you this year, Jack. And after a bit I do seem to remember seeing a wacky cap last year. You missed a good workshop with Linda and company. If it was the last workshop of the day, it might have spilled over into the bar. eb

Expedite Expo Where's The Freight? Presentation at Expedite Expo

I sat through the briefing earlier today. At the end of the talk he said that if anyone wanted a copy of his presentation notes to leave their email address, and he would email it out later. Maybe there is a way to track him down and get on his mailing list. --eb

    What happening with Panther???

I think another thing that helps drive this policy is the gotcha clause in the regs. After all the rules on HOS don't they then add that the company has to have a policy that ensures ALL their vehicles operate in a safe manner? --eb

    Compliments to Bolt

One thing I will admit about the panther decal is that people did read it. I have a Honda Insight and 69 Corvette. People will sit sideways in the passenger seat of their vehicle and watch my car as they pass. And of all the oddities the same thing happened with the this vehicle when I had...
