Just as a data point I regularly get 18 MPG in my Astro with my regular cargo load at about 1100 pounds by the end of my route. I am looking at new vans again and am seriously considering a 4.3 V6 1500. -- Mike N

I have a Wagner heat gun and it works great for jobs like that. Some goo will remain as Dave pointed out but some solvent should deal with that handily. -- Mike N

As Taz pointed out there is no 3500 Sprinter with single rear wheels. Also be aware FDX Home requires a truck with 550 cubic feet of cargo area minimum. -- Mike N

GM vans have the filter along the frame rail between the tank (pump) and engine. (ask me how I know!) ;) -- Mike N

Basically FDX Home delivery is the residential delivery division of FedEx Ground. You deliver up to 9 PM (I think) and mon-sat. Be sure to listen carefully when you talk to them. I spoke with an FDX Home driver recently and he said he was happy. -- Mike N
