John is a good man! Not sure about his program but he runs a tight ship maybe why he got on a few drivers. All I can say he he does a good job for us and really works hard to insure his drivers are on time while running our loads.

Hey Jeff, I didn't say it, you did... But I won't disagree with you... Lol Back to this thread... O/o have different needs, different business models. There isn't one cookie cutter answer to this question. A team may like the larger carriers, singles may prefer the smaller companies that don't...

    out bidding loads

The market is depressed right now, a lot of trucks and not enough expedite freight to go around. Today we lost out on a load the customer got covered for .60 a mile for a sprinter. These trends are expected in our industry, just like in late June expeditors were getting great rates because...

    C & M Good? Bad?

Don't know anything about their program, but I know Cal, Mike and Dan over there. Good people that do a good job! As far as holding three weeks back, not sure but they don't have escrole and us carriers are waiting 30-60 days to get paid so that maybe why.

We have made a delivery and after dropping the load the cons says we must dispose of the pallets. Oh crap this was 53" double stacked to the roof. What to do? Google to the rescue, found a pallet company 8 miles from the cons that bought the pallets off my driver. I told him to keep the money...

Terrell Pryor driving on a suspended liscense. Today's breaking news!

A good Highschool program could have beat Michigan the last few years. So glad RichRod is gone! But to an OSU fan, beating Michigan the last three years must be a lot like clubbing a baby seal.

Solo's...how many miles do YOU get a week??

Solo's...how many miles do YOU get a week??

It's tough right now Rates are depressed, load count is down for everyone. But this time was slow last year too. And fuel is the real killer. This is just a slow time of year. Grass isn't always greener somewhere else, everyone gets antsy when this happens, but we are all in the same boat.

    Fuel Discounts

I am currently doing some research regarding fuel discounts some carriers and fuel card programs offer. Can anyone chime in on any decent programs they currently utilize or have in the past? Best I have come across is .05 a gallon, I know there are better.
