Not to many men are the man their Father was. Baby Dale has always been over rated. He's a big draw for NASCAR merchandise, which I'm sure the France family gets the Lions share of.

D units hauling cargo van freight?

Speaking of HOS, in another thread "I can make $50,000 with bennies a year" Since I'm learning the Trucking Vocabulary on a daily basis is "Bennies" a reference to "Speed" as in being wide awake one moment and and out cold the next, or an altogether different term?.

    Cutaway Van Body Lining

Dakota, thanks for the explanation. For myself I would more then ever want the plywood to protect the exterior walls of my rig.

    Cutaway Van Body Lining

Unless a "Cutaway" van is smlilar to a "Step Van" where the doors open as wide as the interior and the are no wheel wells I fail to see how it can impact the load. I drive a E 350 the rear door opening is 54 1\2" the interior is 67 1\2". In my truck a 67 1\2 skid will not fit through an opening...

    Cutaway Van Body Lining

Whether it's 3\4" or ten feet how are you going to get an object wider then the door opening into the truck to begin with. Are you going to take each object off the skid and load it by hand into the interior?

    Cutaway Van Body Lining

I fail to see how the 3/8" on each side can make a difference. The door openings are narrower then the interior dimensions.

    Cutaway Van Body Lining

Why remove the slats at all. It gives you something more to secure the plywood to & then the E track also.

    Is this normal?

"Business Skills" have nothing to do with operating a motor vechile. It would seem Tri State is saying you can go home for 6 months as long as your in service, turn down any & all load offers, but your still qualified because your in service. Go out of service for 31 days and your no longer...

    Is this normal?

If you have been reading some Posts in the last few months, their are people saying they have been sitting darn close to 30 days. So have they lost their skills from sitting at a "J" instead of their house?

    Is this normal?

If the ICC and a Carrier feel a drivers skills erode so much in thirty days of sitting why not keep track of the days at home, in a truck stop, in a Super market parking lot and pull the driver in for Orientation when ever a total of 30 days sitting has accumulated.
