It depends on the weight rating and some states may have different rules. In GA if the truck is rated under 26,000 pounds(and a 14 ft would likely be) you would only need a CDL to carry hazmat. Over 26 K you need a Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement

Those times when you had to spend a lot of time on padding and securing, unloading etc. are you paid any additional for that ? Or is that simply why the WG rates and payment are higher?
