No ones? Are you sure about that? How sure? Just because you aren't, doesn't mean nobody is. Does it?

How does your truck/fleet owner rate?

I own my truck, but am leased to a guy who has some trucks of his own. He is the one who pays me, so he is like an owner, so I guess I can rate him. The main thing about him is I have seen situations where a lie might have made him look better, but he didn't lie. He manned up and took the flak...

    How happy are you?

While this is not my main source of income, I would like to continue to do it as long as my health stays good. But if next week, the fuel goes sky high again and I still have to pay insurance and the loads are not any better, I'll park it. I would sure miss it though.

Your Indiana Highway Safety Info Please?

So like if, ugh, they don't have the money, well, ugh, what good is it going to do to complain? Looks to me to be a simple solution. No salt? Not safe? Don't drive. Who did you hear say anything about UPS shutting down in Oklahoma 2 or 3 weeks ago because of the road conditions. Sometimes, it is...

    Another GPS Question

From what I have read, none are perfect for a truck. I do believe there is a general feeling that Garmin is the best for the buck. That is what I have and like. Of course, there will be those who have other opionons and you will probably wind up having to decide from what you feel best suits...

The Good Times Thread.. or What are you thankful for?

Thankful for finally having a chance to live out a life long itching to drive a truck. Thankful, that after months of back problems, (which I sold my truck and gave up on ever doing this again) I am able (with spinal injections) to continue driving again. Not for the money (although I have to...

B Train & Log truck qustion

Mathematically, you could get 24 bush cords of wood on a 48 foot trailer using the 48x42 pallet. Now if you can stack them, theoratically, the sky would be the limit. But as moot has suggested, weight is going to be the contributing factor.

    T300 Mirror Heat Circuit

True, you could solder them in the door, but if the wires are long enough (and they should be) you would be better off to take them to the where the old ones are connected in the dash and then you never have to worry about the wet or corroded connection. Unless of course, you keep sloshing...

B Train & Log truck qustion

Now here I go. Not my expertise mind you. A cord of wood is 4 feet deep, 4 feet tall, 8 feet long. And that would be if the wood was split and stacked with no voids. I think a bush cord refers to unsplit wood, there would be voids between the logs or wood. Firewood is usually stacked in this...

    EO 10 year's

You're right. EO has been a big help since I started expediting. It is great we have a place to come and swap experiences or offer advise or just sit back and read about what we all love to do. Expedite! I haven't been here for the 10 years that some of you have, but the few short years that I...

    leaking injectors

If you have a mechanic that will replace an injector cup (just one) for $500, you better stay on the good side of him. Most of these places won't raise your hood for that. And a Cat dealer is the worst. They won't fix an oil or air leak without a $280 computer test run on it. Talk about rape...

Alignment can make a big difference

Have you ever seen one dribble after a puck in the mouth? Ha! Dribble was my best attempt to try and convey what exactly it felt like my truck tires were doing. According to the definitions, I used the correct word. My tires weren't shimmying. They weren't shaking. They were dribbling! And...

Well, I wear underwear, so I certainly know nothing of logging. And a bush truck? A b train? Ain't that what they use in the "down under"?

    international dt466 loosing oil

You would think a gallon a day would show up somewhere. A gallon in your fuel should be smoking. But those rascals can do some weird things. And run decent while doing them.

Alignment can make a big difference

My problem was drifting. You had to fight it to keep it in the road. Plus it had a dribble problem rather than a shimmy shake. I didn't tell all it took to correct it, but alignment cured my worst problem. The dribble was a front tire out of round. They had to replace it as it was thought to...

Alignment can make a big difference

I know in past, I have heard of front wheel alignments. While I have always had my cars and pickups checked and aligned, I just never heard of an all wheel for trucks. But I don't know everything. The mechanic who aligned it, explained what was happening and it all made sense to me. The main...

Alignment can make a big difference

Couldn't wait. Rear inside tires were border line DOT legal. Plus, truck was a handful trying to drive. I have no regrets. I just thought it odd that I never considered alignment a common thing with the bigger trucks. Or maybe I should say rear or all wheel alignment. If they come up with a...
