    Auguasted Loads & Locations

Sorry for your loss ntime, unfortunately I will likely be going through the same thing in the next couple of weeks....he's refusing treatment and says "it's time". Always has done everything on his own terms.

    Auguasted Loads & Locations

If I was at all busy I doubt I would care, but considering how slow/cheap it is right now the message is pretty tone deaf, and the rate quoted is ridiculous. That exit ramp may get a bit crowded ntime!

More weekly deductions off my pay....oh goody! Good thing rates are high and the loads are plentiful.

Is it worth the money crossing into CANADA?

Just remember also, if you are in a van the logbook rules kick in at 9920 lbs (metric conversion) and if you are in anything larger your truck must be speed limited to 65mph (and they plug in and check that at the scales). It's a free service (snort) paid for by the fuel taxes you will pay on...

Cargo Van My 2015 Ford Transit

I'd say the numbers are more like 10, 30 and 60.

    Dash Camera suggestions

I had a Garmin for a while. It never ran reliably and the 2 times I got hit by another vehicle it never recorded either as an event. Also shut down frequently from heat.

Hydraulics to lift rear end of Ford Transit 350 XL?

Hydraulics to lift a loaded parked van a foot or so (reliably) will easily weigh 500 lbs further adding to your problems. Also, lifting a foot and still being able to move the van would require having a way that the stock rear suspension could unhook from the frame as after about 5 inches the...

    Max freight trailers

It also didn't work out for Walmart or IFS either. Those trucks were glider kits based on a Mexico spec Argosy and contained non emission compliant engines. The configuration also required special permits that were quite expensive. It was a neat idea that unfortunately did not make it.

Best Power Inverter and Aux Battery available for Sprinter

I will look up the difference in the Aims units, but the charger in the Aims is 4 stage vs the 3 in the Xantrex. A unit that has a better charger (as I have experienced) results in longer battery life. The Aims units are also beefy low frequency units with massive surge capacity. Just for...

Best Power Inverter and Aux Battery available for Sprinter

Just as an FYI to others and because I can hear it doing it this moment, one nice thing about the Aims is the charging voltage and profile are not affected if the shore power voltage surges up or down. You can also adjust the charge current which is nice if you are using a generator. I can turn...

Heating / Cooling No ac at highway speed

Is the coolant flow to the heater core shut off? There should be taps or valves to do it. Those Maxxforce engines reject a TON of heat at highway speeds and loads, making sure those valves are closed is essential. You also may have some air in the system....charging it up is ok but not if the...

Best Power Inverter and Aux Battery available for Sprinter

Deka 8A31's (4). I have a friend at Freightliner who gets me these for around $110 ea. Can't remember the model of the Aims, but it is a Global LF (low frequency) inv/charger. Charges at 40 amps and is maybe 1500 or 2000 watts on the inverter side. PICOGLF120 maybe? Dunno.

Best Power Inverter and Aux Battery available for Sprinter

I will vouch for the Aims low frequency inverter/charger unit. It has a MUCH better battery charger than the Xantrex units (went thru 2) I started out with. I now get double the life out of my batteries which I run a 12 volt A/C system off of...so I am pretty brutal on batteries. Used to need a...

    Load One August-Keep Rolling Strong

I didn't think it would have the effect that it has.....planned 5 days out but still available for dispatch in the mean time for runs of a length normal for a C unit. but, a dispatcher told me today it does change how your truck is viewed and what they can do with you system wise. Like I...

    Sprinter Transmission

The 236.14 fluid is sometimes referred to as the 7 speed fluid as it arrived on the scene when the 7 speed/4cyl combo appeared (the 7 speed could not use the 10 or 12 fluids). Like a lot of OEM recommended fluids nowadays it has a lot to do with fuel economy and not so much long life. In the bit...
