I have driven Ford Vans since the 80's and I found that the 1-tons offer a little more control in bad weather. I purchased a 4-wheel drive Ford E-350 van in 2002 and had no problems last winter driving in W.PA,Ohio,W.Va.,Mi.,Tn. I am very happy with the performance in the snow loaded or unloaded.
