    Expediter Training

"This training does not physically teach individuals how to drive a truck but rather how to drive their business as a professional..." BWAAAHAHAHAHAHA That's funny!!! CARELTON? OH CARELTON, WHERE ARE YOU??? :7 :7 :7 "Essentially this class will teach how to increase load opportunities by...

    Respect ~ Driver Turnover

To answer Doc's question, expediency would be one. The faster this truck gets moving, the faster we make money. (I don't particularly buy that ploy, though I've heard it) Maybe the o/o is not negotiable on the terms of his contract. (like Doc said... take it or leave it) He doesn't want to make...

Sinking Fast-Need Advice Desperately! Glen Rice, T

RE: Sinking Fast-Need Advice Desperately! Glen Ric I don't see any nay-sayers on this thread. Just the guy at the top who's worried about making money. Everyone else said it can be made... just in different ways.

Geez... give everyone the idea to move to Tennessee and nothing but expediters will have log cabins in the mountains :P :7 :7 :7 :7

Sinking Fast-Need Advice Desperately! Glen Rice, T

RE: Sinking Fast-Need Advice Desperately! Glen Ric For one thing, he is running a sprinter, not a truck like the last two posters. I've known for awhile that they were sprinter-heavy. Even with trucks I've heard things are lean. BTW, I am the o/o mhoy40 ran for with Express-1. I can say this to...

    BEST TRUCK SERVICE/REPAIR FACILITY

This week I had a wake-up call as far as repairs go. It's amazing what happens to a truck in two months if driven by a neglegent driver. I found out really quick how a $1500 estimate turned into a $5200 nightmare. Unlike the ordeal at Freightliner in Ypsilanti I wrote previously about, I wasn't...

    Found A Truck

I won't have that prob as I refuse to drive em again. With teams being more profitable, I hate either my co-driver or me waking up and yelling," IS THERE SOMEWHERE YOU CAN PULL OVER???" That'll happen in any vehicle at times, but that should be the Freightshaker's slogan! :7

    *** Class 8's - Fuel Economy ***

Tom... my co-driver is an amsoil rep. I'm leary of changing over to a system that is very hard to find reps. Otherwise, the money and time saved on the oilchanges would sell me if I bought a newer unit. What good is it if there's no oil? LOL

    Found A Truck

OH SUUUUURE... let the DRIVER take the Freightshaker!!!LOL Only two things those are good for... narcolepsy and prostate problems! :P :P :P Whatever you do, don't have teams run in those trucks. Torture, I tell ya. I hafta say 106s are better than the 70s and 80s... but I'd rather go with a...

    Getting started...

High-speed driver? I hear NASCAR is looking for plenty of those. Check the classifieds. There are many O/Os looking for RESPONSIBLE drivers, though 40% is a longshot.

    What about it?

To apply for an EIN, go to http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/article/0,,id=102767,00.html Use their phone# as it will go faster. They give you an EIN, not your SSN. I know in my county, you can go to the county clerk's office and register your business. They use your SSN as your tax ID...

    Found A Truck

It would've been worth renting a car and heading out there. Too nice of a truck to give up at that price.

    I need a new career.

Then may I suggest the straight truck route. You'll make that much alot easier than with a van. And although you do have drawbacks, I believe the benefits vastly outway them. I would also suggest getting a co-driver if going with fed-ex in a straight truck. But if you're insistant on running...

    Is there a good answer

I would've been gone after yesterday, DD LOL Can't help it... I call em as I see em. Glad to meet you, daughter of 6 :) I hope it's just a glitch that she can't get back on, cause I saw nothing that would cause her removal in my mind. Anyways, have fun and learn. Talk to ya later, upside-down...

    Panther straight truck drivers

250-300 dh miles per week doesn't sound too bad. Leo, TST also has that system of dh. I think it's a way to remind their dispatchers not to send us willy-nilly to this load or that layover. I applaud them.
