    Solo Straight Truck O\O Profitable?

I'm posting this here because I feel there may be others new? to the business who are also wondering. My question is, since there are members on this site driving solo for an owner, why would they drive for a percentage if they are not making a living?. In which case why couldn't a solo in their...

Do I have to keep a log book

Look in your States DMV CDL booklet. It will have everything you need to know. I believe it's anything over ten thousand & one lbs.

    Sprinter conversions

In the later years of my life I have become "Thrifty". $10,000.00 for a bunk, and maybe a ice box is a bit excessive for my tastes.;)

    Curiosity only

Thank you. I thought it was probably alignment related, but thought it would be tough on the driver. I would think the vibration in a class 8 would be considerable.

    Curiosity only

Earlier in the week I was at a truck stop when a Peterbilt long nose pulling a Flat bed parked. Later when he came out it wouldn't start. I went over and asked if I could help. He said no it will start when it cools off. Now. While standing there I noticed the left front steer tire had...

    Need a number

Look under "Search" cdl training. You can get a CDL booklet from any Motor Vehicle office. Read it over & over. Rent a Ryder\Hertz straight truck with air brakes and practice in an open lot some where.

    Panther safety exaggerate

Speaking of Dispatchers. On Wednesday afternoon I was offered a low paying run. I took it to get to what I hoped would be a better freight area. I was told it's a 12:30 AM delivery. Fine. It turns out the Company was closing at 11:00 PM because the next day was Veterans day. My Company new it...

Who's looking for sympathy? If you have no intention of honoring a contract don't sign it. These Forums have just as much B.S. as they do horror stories.

Looks like the UAW and GM have everything under control!

Unions had a place in our society and they abused it to their own destruction. The main reason work has gone over seas is because Unions demanded such an enormous compensation in pay & benefits the Companies could not sell their product & still make a profit. The average Union person in the 60's...

    Chevy 2007 transmission

A couple of things, #1 I don't drive a GM product so don't pay special attention to them. A few months ago the St Louis Post Dispatch had a article about Chevrolet \ GMC vans which are manufactured in St Louis. A unannounced recall, but I didn't pay attention to what. #2 when your mechanic drops...
