Well, the ecoboost has been out for a while now in the F-150's. Hopefully, they'll have the bugs out of it by fall when the Transits hit the lots. I also read that 40% of the F-150's sold last year had the ecoboost in them. If that's the case...and they had any really serious issues.... we would...

This is where I found the ecoboost problems. It's a message board. It appears that Ford has some problems...and hopefully they will get them fixed...but? Just thought I would pass it along...see what your take on it is? Here is the link: F150 Ecoboost Problems - General Discussion - Ford...

I think the camp cots are rated for like 250-300 lbs...you just have to check the specs on the one you want. The pragma is unreal..like 1200 or 1600 or something.

Ok, thats what I thought you were meaning. I have no experience with the air mattresses, but have considered trying one. Sounds like you'll have to have a barrier...either a rug of some kind or something insulated on the floor, under the mattress. Or your going to need something to get the...

I'm curious about what you mean by "the cold comes up through the floor". Are you saying that it effects the mattress? Or just talking about the fact of cold coming through the floor. Maybe we need to invent an air heater for the air beds? :)

I found some "not so favorable" reviews on that Ecoboost engine the other day. I'm not sure that the other 6 banger might not be the best. They are touting it is as the re-incarnation of the old bullet-proof inline 6.

    Eclipse expediting pros and cons

Exactly, then you have the cherry pickers with buddies in dispatch. They'll get the good runs out of the batch and as long as you'll do the crappy loads, you'll have a full plate of 'em. It all works both ways. That's why I say....if you want the short loads covered, pay what their worth...

    Eclipse expediting pros and cons

I'll run that load....but that's what it's worth. I personally value my truck and myself at $150 if you just want me to show up. Then $1.25/mile minimum up to 100 miles. Even then, the empty miles to the pickup can cause me to turn it down or ask for more money. There are just too many negatives...

    Eclipse expediting pros and cons

I agree and understand. My point is that the contracted price for the short loads is too cheap...otherwise you wouldn't have trouble getting them covered. It is also possible that the short loads are used as a bargaining tool to get the contract. There are a lot of problems with that particular...

Thanks! This 148" wb Ford concerns me some. Good news is that the car show is close...so hopefully some of us can see it in person. I doubt they have enough security to keep Scott out...lol

    Eclipse expediting pros and cons

This is not directed toward Blizzard or anyone else in particular, but just a general statement to those who are booking loads. When you....and your customers...understand that short loads need to pay more, A LOT more, and you start offering those better rates for the short loads, your drivers...

My turn to ask a question...

This post/thread is the one you should have started your EO experience with. I think things would have went much smoother for you...just sayin :) Here is the deal (and where you truly can learn something), you ARE running overflow loads. And the second part is, that is not news to us. That is...

My turn to ask a question...

Paul did pretty good with the broker/carrier. They are both federal authorities. I guess my short answer would be that carrier authority allows you to transport freight across state lines and nation wide. The broker authority basicly give you the authority to sell (or broker) freight. Most...

    Tandem Axle Straight Truck Help

ummmm, yeah...that'll work. But that's kinda back to where we started. Which is ok too. There are at least a few options available to make it work. At some point rbCPC will just have to pick a setup and then we can give him some advice on how to get it right.
