Our experience with C&M Transport so far...

Definitely a rough start. But.... it's January and they are leased to a company that sticks to their rates. That's a tough call when it's slow, but overall, you'll learn to appreciate it.

    Ready To Go

I don't know this for sure, but I think you'll find a lot more hot shot work in Houston than expedite. Lots of oil/gas field supplies moving about down there. Just a pickup can even get some business.

Our experience with C&M Transport so far...

C&M is one of the best carriers in the business. You'll likely do well with them if you can tough it out through the slow months. There are probably 5 carriers, or less, that I would consider leasing to in the expedite industry. C&M would be on that list of 5...actually pretty close to the top.

    Sprinter box cargo gwvr

This is the answer to your question. The Sprinter you describe is not a vehicle that most of us would consider as an expedite vehicle. As someone else mentioned, it has all the regulatory limitations of a straight truck while not offering any of the advantages of a straight truck.

90% of them are likely running illegal and under the radar. Some will have a 10,000 or less gvwr, but Im guessing that most dont. It will catch up sooner or later.

Any body having problems with a 2012 sprinter ?

The problem with that info on the 2012's is that not many of them have enough miles on them to know yet. It will be at least a couple of years before anyone can answer that question accurately.

You will legally be in the commercial vehicle category with all the fun things that come with it...logbooks, dot #, scales, etc. I'm sure that there are many people running such vehicles under the radar....just remember that if you do get checked, it won't be pretty. Only way you could legally...

    Help with Sirius XM radio

The fm adapter I linked to is for the external receiver also. It's cheap and works great. You still have full fm signal for local stations and very little interference when listening to sirius/xm. I do like the antennae removal trick though. Its a cheap/quick solution...especially if you don't...

    Battery Bank Question

Not trying to be mean, but you need to search and read some more. Turtle has explained everything your asking about at length in a couple threads. I couldn't repeat it if you held a gun to my head...lol.

    Question Regarding Whirlwind Express

I know nothing about them other than what I've read on here. I would assume that nothing has changed...especially if others are telling you the same thing now. Once you've ran the load...and the money doesn't show up... it's a little too late to say "no" at that point.

He likely didn't hear it until it was too late. Personally, I wish we had more of those types of loads...as long we are compensated well for the accessorials. I would imagine that these companies who run that kind of freight a lot get a little chuckle every time they broker a load out to a...

The most important thing to do after delivering to Laredo is be sure you get plenty of rest. Sleep good at night and take a nap during the day if you can. Because, when you do get a run, it's likely to be a long one.
