    M2 Cooling fan intermetent

Sorry for delay, stayin busy. fr8hlr521, thank you for the reply. I don't have a dash switch but have to look into wiring me one up, shouldn't be too hard ;). I did learn the photo of the relay I posted above is off of a 2012 M2. My '07 utilizes the sucky AMU's to control the horton fan...

    M2 Cooling fan intermetent

Sitting at a light, the temp shot up to about 230, eng protect lite on, shut it off, checked under hood, nothing boiling, full of coolant, fan spins freely, belt in place. Got in, pumped brakes to remove air in tanks so to engage horton fan clutch, started up and put it at high idle. Temp...

    Used HEUI pump

I had a no start issue show up on my C9. Codes pointed to a inlet temp sensor fault circuit which was the first sensor I changed, no help. She would start with a spit of ether every time and run like a champ. Changed the engine speed sensors, fuel and H20 fil.s, fuel press. reg., fuel...

    Truckers against CARB

Looks like the proposals, if passed, still require small fleets 1st truck already be in compliance as of Jan 1, 2014. The "denied a loan" option would exempt "up to three trucks" until Jan 1, 2018, but doesn't say if the three can include the 1st truck as proposed in the "small fleet" option...

    Truckers against CARB

???2016 from 2017???unfair for those that had not complied???, thinkin it would be the other way around, 2017 from 2016, unfair for those that had complied. Have not been able to verify. I 'heard' the recent meeting results would be out 1st of next month.

DPF and CARB, mine ST8's time has come.

Sounds like the best option is newer truck w/ DPF & SCR. Zorry, care to mention what the DPF cleaning will cost? Dynamite, I was borderline not going down the CARB railroad but two or three round trips out of there covers the initial cost I'm thinking. So many of us have not upgraded and...

DPF and CARB, mine ST8's time has come.

Not looking for the "should we or not", but rather, looking for DPF experiences, good or bad. Hoping to gain pros and cons on retrofitting current truck (C9 M2) or go with a new/used ST8 built with DPF from the factory. Any opinions on most reliable motor/trans combinations appreciated. Anybody?

    Refrigerator help!!! Again

I couldn't justify paying that much for a Norcold and also found no one repaired them, something about the spiral compressor and cooling unit to repair cost as much as replacing the complete fridge. I instigated finding a cheaper cooling unit that may retrofit but looks like the Norcold is just...

    FedEx Truck, Bus Crash

I learned early on about speculation. Years ago a buddy asked me to bring my mini bike to his house. Had me line it up with the dent and crack in the back of his older brother's Stingray vert. He was sure someone hit it after not making the corner and flew over the top where their belt buckle...

    Shaving tires

I well balanced and tru steer is heaven compared to one that is not. Shaving will true it up, but is this a long term fix? My lack of faith in hub piloted wheels, even with the use of the tru-bal lugs, leads me to believe the next time the wheel is removed and re-torqued on a rotate for...

    Shaving tires

I've always looked at shaving the tread as last resort. I have had luck by always checking the out of round with a block of wood. If more then an 1/8th of an inch or so, take the wheel/tire and reinstall 180 degrees, always seem to be much less doing this. I also us tru-bal budded lug nuts...

    Here's a new one!

P/S pump filter in my M2 is easy to get to, just open up the filler cap and there it is, small and cheap. I replace mine about every 250,000. The first time I discovered it, it had unscrewed itself.

    So Long

After reading all the "improvements" of the new QC, I'm liking my old wheel chock even better......or at least until it's phased out. As far as cost, I don't like Panther charging more then others, but, as a ST driver, I do like being able to pull up 8 day and 70 hour summaries quick when...

    2004 M2 fuse box????

You may have an inline fuse in the dash for the cig lighter, but i would test all the fuses under the hood before going there. The fuse block under the truck on the cross member has all the fuses for the tail, brake, park, fog and running lights if I remember correctly, also contains relays...

Freigh. M2 check engine light when idle

"ecu 128" refers to engine. The "sld" you refer to is actually "sid". I found these codes for Cats on a Thompson Built Bus document online. Not sure what if the same for your year but I was able to diagnose which injector went bad on my '06 C9 using them. Looks like SID 231 has the terms...
