T1000 maybe 3rd time is the charm

Okay, an old subject , one more time. Since you are having such a hard time understanding what I wrote I will copy and paste it here for you to read, re-read and if you have to, have someone read it to you until you can comprehend what is written. Re: T1000 maybe 3rd time is the charm...

What Do You Know About Loveland Pass in Colorado?

Yes, finally, a positive I can say about the truck......we have auto chains. No more frost bitten fingers. Takes days for the feeling to come back and let me strum my guitar after chaining up.

What Do You Know About Loveland Pass in Colorado?

We had the pleasure of traveling Loveland Pass twice this year. In late April we had a hazmat load that could not pass thru the tunnel. While it was sunny and 80 down below we climbed to over 11,000 ft and freezing temps. The roads were clear but enormous piles of plowed snow were along both...

    September Locations

Okay, Labor Day weekend is over. Spent some quality time with Linda family at a re-union, had a very nice visit with my Parents. Some of my buds came over Sunday and Monday and we jammed away for hours, until 430 Monday morning then started up again Monday afternoon. Great being able to play...

ARI's New High-Rise Package With Walk-Through Sleeper Opening

Hi Joe, as with all complex machines "who really knows". We thought we would see much better mpg with the new truck. So far not so. We hit almost 9mpg running 65-67mph. The MB was giving us 8.75. The DD13 is still not broken in so we hope to see it improve. As for performance, with the front...

ARI's New High-Rise Package With Walk-Through Sleeper Opening

I agree zorry and Phil. I liked the ARI at the show as well. Very very nice. As far as the new DD13 goes, it has been okay so far. It does not perform as well as the MB4000 we had. While the fuel economy is a tad better it lacks in over all performance.

T1000 maybe 3rd time is the charm

Maybe I can give some insight on this topic, FIRST HAND. On our third attempt to pass the TVAL cert. we were accompanied by two other Stoops trucks. My unit, trying for tval for a third time, with 35k milage with a T1000. A twin to our unit, which I was told had just been picked up in Ft Wayne...

T1000 maybe 3rd time is the charm

Okay, 90 days after getting the new truck with a T1000 we may be on the verge of qualifying for TVAL. At least they didnt cut our test short this time and let us make the final run with the temp tales. We will know tomorrow after the data is reviewed. That is better than the BRAND NEW, I mean...

    What Makes a Good Month?

Well, I must admit the genset is still capable of running. It is not capable of performing as needed for an expeditor. This hybrid is not a very good system for the type of hours we run. It doesnt make sense that after 20=30 hours of a straight thru coast to coast that the batterries would need...

Well, at least you didnt say you were done with this thread, again. Your credibility is taking a hit here. You say one thing, then do the opposite. Oh, do you deliver?

    Freight rates and fuel prices!

A famous man once sang, "You may call me Terry, you may call me Jimmy You may call me Bobby, you may call me Zimmy You may call me R.J., you may call me Ray You may call me anything but no matter what you say. You're gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed You're gonna have to serve...

How Are You Coping With the Heat?

On the old DR Bentz our Onan was down 24 months out of the 48 we had it. When we were able to use the roof top it worked okay. On the new DR by Bolt, the APU has been running and maintaining our environment just fine. Even on the hottest days we could freeze ourself out. Our problems with the...

    What Makes a Good Month?

Even with all the down time we have had this year ( 8+ weeks ) I am projecting us limping in with a gross of 215 to 225K ( as long as the truck passes tval testing on Monday). A strong finish would sure be nice. As to what constitutes a good month, based off our previous 5 years, we target 20k...

How Are You Coping With the Heat?

For the most part, the new truck is okay. Frustration is due to not working and being killed with expense. I wont say to or not to buy one. That is up to the one with money. Linda and me, well we are just drivers and I have been told our problems usually are due to drivers error ( not in this...

How Are You Coping With the Heat?

Hi Dave, I believe the way the roof on this unit is designed has limited available foorprint space. I have been told it is not possible to have a vent and rooftop a/c unit together. The roof is designed to have airflow to the reefer unit. This design made installing a fantastic fan impossible. I...

August locations with minimal blah, blah, blah and yada, yada, yada

Unscheduled 2 week home stay. We scheduled our 2nd TVAL test after having the unit worked on for 10 days in Fort Wayne. The T1000 failed and shot this week, now on Thursday into the shop in Richfield and hoping it is fixed and we can schedule the 3rd TVAL test next week. yadda yadda yadda.
