I would venture to say, with out going through them. That 50% of posts on Straight trucks will say there is no money as a Solo. Although 80% of the posters may not be in a Straight truck.:p

Can someone\anyone recommend a Thread, web site or book. That someone foolish enough to consider being solo in a Straight truck could learn the basics of maintence for said truck.:rolleyes:

I don't have a class A license only a lowly B:(. That being said $.37 a mile might be good for a dedicated route 5-6 days a week. BUT if your sitting 3-4 days a week it might not look quite as promising.:rolleyes:

I'm not sure you can teach people to pay attention. Which I think will be the main reason of this accident. It happens almost daily with some admitting it. Others denying it. Around St Louis in the last two years there have been a car load of people losing their life to big rigs & in a case...

I would guess any national Cellular service provider gives a phone when you sign up. A phone that makes and receives calls which works for lots of cellular phone owners. So it would appear a smart phone & a hand out is the way to go.

So, as long as you can make the BMW payment food is secondary?. Seems to me it's a screwed up sense of priorities. IF I had a choice (myself personaly) I would give up cellular service before taking a hand out if I were able to work.

With no Property taxes in the communities large enough to have Police & Fire proctection. How is it paid for?.
