    On the road with Tri-State

I would suggest for just starting out always try and save your money. Don't go looking for ways to spend it. While your sitting try a used Book Store. Readings a lot less expensive then movies.

I haven't driven a Straight or 10 wheel Dump on a regular basis in over 30 years. I'm not sure I could adjust slack adjusters any more. How much have they changed?.

I would venture to say, with out going through them. That 50% of posts on Straight trucks will say there is no money as a Solo. Although 80% of the posters may not be in a Straight truck.:p

    Finally!!!!

Back in the 70's the late John Lindsey (sp) was Mayor of New York City. It was suggested that some who were on Welfare should work in helping clean the streets of NYC. Mayor Lindsey responded " I would not ask anyone to do such a menial job" The fact that the city was already paying city...

    Today's Fleet Owners

If they are UAW factory workers skilled or unskilled. They probably would not leave the couch for $900.00 per week.

    Today's Fleet Owners

I don't have a class A license only a lowly B:(. That being said $.37 a mile might be good for a dedicated route 5-6 days a week. BUT if your sitting 3-4 days a week it might not look quite as promising.

Amish Girl Killed In Buggy/Truck Accident

I'm not sure you can teach people to pay attention. Which I think will be the main reason of this accident. It happens almost daily with some admitting it. Others denying it. Around St Louis in the last two years there have been a car load of people losing their life to big rigs & in a case...

    C & M Good? Bad?

I would guess any national Cellular service provider gives a phone when you sign up. A phone that makes and receives calls which works for lots of cellular phone owners. So it would appear a smart phone & a hand out is the way to go.

    C & M Good? Bad?

So, as long as you can make the BMW payment food is secondary?. Seems to me it's a screwed up sense of priorities. IF I had a choice (myself personaly) I would give up cellular service before taking a hand out if I were able to work.

Amish Girl Killed In Buggy/Truck Accident

U.S. #60 between Rogersville & Springfield, MO. Was altered? a few years ago. The original reason was for a Buggy path in the middle of the median. The Amish in the area still use the break down lane. The new construction was between Seymour & Rogersville. On a second note in the early 2000's...

    C & M Good? Bad?

Rob1982, as Robert Service said " I'm not as wise as the lawyer guys, but strictly between us two" How does someone buy & pay the monthly fees for a "Smart Phone" if they cannot buy their own food?
