I hope your right. But, I used to hear the same thing about tool and die jobs also. All the old toolmakers were gonna be retiring...the demand would be HUGE.... still waiting on that one too. There are plenty of people who want to drive trucks. The shortage is finding people that will put up...

I see the problem with sensitive freight. The 30 minute break should not be a problem for anyone else though. With any rule, there should be exceptions made for obvious and important conflicts with reality.

You are correct, I doubt that it will change either. My guess is that the carriers who do this know very well what they are doing and profit from it more than most understand. But, my point still stands. There is no driver shortage...at this time. There is however a shortage of carriers worth...

My contract verizon phone ain't all that great in WKY either. It does get signal usually, but not a great one. Might as well forget data service on 65 in KY with Verizon.
