My first week of running straight truck has been good. My next week doesn't start till the 20th. Took the load because it paid same per mile rate for deadhead and loaded. Very good paying load. Just hope I'll find a good over the weekend load wince I get to OKC. Sitting here in Commerce Co
In Fort Worth at the Landstar orientation center. Be here till the weekend then flying to Atlanta to start new job running for a owner. I'll be in a straight truck. Van freight here is non existent right now. Got to do what I got to do to survive. But I'll never step foot again in TT.
First thing I do when I park at truck stops I go ask the manager if its okay and the second question is where would you like me to park. Most love the fact that I ask
Still in Homer Alaska, waiting to unload at Alaskan Coastal freight. That is if they take it off the van, if not wait for the ferry.
I still love this job and the places we get to visit over our lifetime.
Might get the freight off tomorrow at a freight company here in Homer. If so my time in Alaska will be shorter then planned. Then it's off to Seattle to see if I can get some freight.
I could post on this phone but not my other. The hot dog in the picture is a reindeer dog and it was very good. Other pictures are of glacier and food signs at a craft fair in Anchorage.
Was trying to put pictures up, but my computer won't go to pictures to upload them. I'm off to Homer tomorrow for the week. I'll be heading to San Diego after I deliver, that is unless I get a load from up here.
And I'm sitting in Alaska, for anther week.. Oh wait I'll be driving down to Homer for the next week. Halibut an Salmon fishing then ferry to Kodiak for a delivery to the Coast Guard. God I love getting paid to travel the United States.
