I was home the whole week, and they were at the Petro in ATL for 2 days, but I was so busy that I couldn't go. I wanted to, maybe next time.

    Qualcomm

PJs? Give me a break. I had them install QualComms in two of my vehicles and both had lots of problems until a competent shop put on good stuff. Believe me, I would have done a better job myself. 4 years ago they butchered my wires in my van AFTER I told them where thy need to hook it up...

    vanners.. shower credits

I've never gotten credit for a fuel purchase of less than 15 gallons (used to be 20 gallons). Also, I think it happened to me before that I got two 15 gallons purchases in a day and I got a full shower credit. But, that was a long time ago. Now, I don't have to worry about it. One of the...

    Mileage Accuracy

I have never has such a big difference. On all my loads it is less than 10 miles either way. Like LOS said, it evens out in the end, no need to worry about it.

OVM, sorry about your trouble. You will get it fixed, I just hope you won't have to get into your retirement account to pay for it. Good luck.

Don't know how your company does, but Columbus is not that great for freight. You might be better off going up to Atlanta. That being said, once in a blue moon I got some great loads out of Columbus, no vans there, and I deadheaded there from Atlanta. Hope you get one of those.

Chef, You are right. Most of those that were living off of the advances that I talked to are gone now. They could not survive the slowdown this year.

    Do you remember when

I remember when the rate for a van was $1.30, sometimes even more. And it was not that far back.

There was an older border guard on this side of the border that made it a priority to be excessively mean. He would ask if you had a passport. Then of course, you respond in an affirmative way and hand the guy the passport. He then would use the most sour voice you can imagine informing you that...

When I was driving a van I picked up a load and the shipper wanted me to put a seal on the van. I told him that I drive a van and I cannot seal it. He said ok, but came out with me to put the seal on the van anyways. He goes around the van and looks for a way to put the seal on, and asks me is...
