I would expect a DOT inspection of your rig As far as being home on weekends it would probably depend on how far away you are & if your under load. If your in Texas & home is Connecticut probably not a good idea to go out of service to go home.

Truck Stops are expensive places to eat. Find a good Super Market or Deli, some good bread, cheese, tuna, cold cuts. You can save a car load of money over time. Good luck in your travels.
