    Detention Time

So if you have not been to oreintation because you do not need it, you do not read the handbook becasue they do not follow (how do you know if you do not read it) and I am assuming from your frequent rants on here that you have no problem reading and writing passable english. As far as knowing...

    Detention Time

Do you have a good enough relationship with the carrier you CHOOSE to lease to that to see the same person come here and spread lies about them over and over again would not make you at some point stand up and say enough? I do, and I personally know all of the people she has named and called...

Alborado, I am not going to get into a pissing contest with you about who knows more ofwhat....suffice it to say that anyone who has done any research on Panther knows it is a different company now that it is owned by Fenway Partners. I know you may find it hard to belive but there is really...

    Detention Time

wow...another personal attack allowed by the mods. I am truly shocked. You do not have to do my homework Alborada, I did mine before I came to Panther. I know the names of those that did own trucks YEARS AGO, and yes I know many of the people in dispatch. Perhaps that is why your posts...

    Thought police?

I personally have an issue with one of my posts being edited by a moderator because I simply pointed out that someone changes their avatars as frequently as they have issues with their carriers. If this is all it takes to generate a edit by a mod for a supposed personal attack, then this site...

Please...just....leave, or at the very least STOP LISTENING TO TRUCKSTOP GOSSIP. Who in dispatch owns trucks? Name one. I know of one who used to, and they sold all of theirs. I know one person that had a position at Panther (pre-fenway) that resigned and kept trucks...so name one...

    CDL Training for Partner

rent a truck and teach her yourself. She can get her permit by studying the manuals. Once hse has passed her permit you can rent a 26001 gvw truck with airbrakes and teach her to pass the test. Some fleet owners at panther take spousal training teams with a permit. -charlotte

    Detention Time

TT layover is 75$ same as strait truck, detention is 25$ an hour up to 9 hours. The question that I have not seen answered is what caused the delay at the border? We cross all the time and 50 hours is excessive given the excellant crossing procedures we have. Driver error? Broker error...

    Successful Expediting, secret 47

Advice is a different issue than "I am doing this much" and this company sucks or you would do better here. Talking about differences in how companies operate is not bad....you may have a company that fits or does not fit what you do. Rather than not associating, I guess I hold the belief that...

Stuck in gear till I crashed

it is not a recall issue..it is a feature that the dealerships do not do enough about educating. It is an actual knob in the truck cab so that if you need to high idle the engine you can. -charlotte

Stuck in gear till I crashed

The hino has a switch...highidle switch....my drivers say it is a knob...if you turn that knob accidently it will make the truck idle high....thus preventing it from going into gear or changing gears. We had the truck sitting in neutral, tried to change into gear and it would not change...

    Let's Talk Deadheading home!

We lived in Phoenix up until last year. We have been with panther 3 years....we drive tractor and never had any problem getting a backhaul home or if headhaul into CA or AZ, getting a backhaul out. We pulled a reefer for Panther and hauled tomatoes or cantalopes for 2.70 a mile out of Phoenix...

Probably no right answer - but give it a shot.

Sleeping while moving was hard.....sleeping when you HAD to was harder...ie..at a truck stop messing around allday, load comes in at 6pm for 1200 miles and neither one was able sleep (especially after sitting after a weekend)......those were the hardest. Quality time, I think there is a lot...

Yes, We're considering FedExCC in "bad times"

As long as you are willing to accept the possibility that you may be wrong. For example....I came from the corporate world. I was tired of always obtaining new contracts in the IT industry (having switched to IT from Management) so a friend of mine who had her cdl and I decided to drive a...
