Anyone else see this...? By Charlie Morasch, Land Line staff writer Critics of the recently announced cross-border trucking program have warned that opening the border would invite drug smuggling and cabotage into the U.S. On the very day that President Barack Obama and Mexico President Felipe...

FedEx CC had one (maybe two) of those for years. I met him in AZ, he's since downsized- I believe the unit 'aged out'.

    Camper?

Works great! I drove with a stranger for a year, then bf came with me, and finally we got married ;) Just look at the threads here, the ladies forum, etc...there's plenty of info for her to get some insight :)

    Camper?

Straight trucks by law cannot exceed 40' in length. We're the same size or smaller than most pickup/trailer combos, and 2/3rds the size of those $$$ RVs. Pull thru spots are reccomended, however, and you really, really must have a shore power plug, as a generator is way too loud :)

    Camper?

Gainesville, GA. It took quite a bit of hunting and even more convincing to get in there. It was our first try at it, but we told the guy we do it "all the time" ;) He seemed most worried that someone would complain about the "commercialism" of the logos on the truck...?!? We went swimming...

If you get to talkin' to alot of expeditors, you will find many do carry a camp stove, a few have fishing poles, too. A folding chair is practically a neccessity at many popular truckstops in nice weather ;)

Your cash is no good -- on the roads, that is.

I'm confused. The article says you can't pay cash on the Indiana toll road, but I do. Every time. They take cash (paper/coin), credit, and EZpass/Ipass/I-zoom. ???

What do you eat if you need to drive all night?

That's why I try to pace the run so there's always enough time for a nap or a break from fog and other icky conditions. Our natural clocks just don't want to be awake between three and four a.m. I find a 30-45min nap to be the best and only thing to fix that. Sometimes, if I've been running the...

    Retired Truckers Camper

Naw, the top part slides down- just like the pop out sides- it's 13'6. I saw a show about those, too. I think Will Smith's is the one on the show.

    Satellite Radio Problems

I had the same problem. For me, it was the plug on the radio for the antenna. (It may have been damaged when it flew across the truck while still plugged in after giving me some crap!) I called xm to *cancel* and they were able to send me a replacement of the same model ($60) for $10.

    $2.86 per mile

I believe "dealing with people" all day is the deciding factor in the pay differential. Also, how many times have you cleaned puke out of the back of your truck? ;)

    EOBR not so BAD

We have also talked to Tom about the "invisible" green message light and the glaring red signal interuption light- they are confusing. Most importantly, we have played with all the volume settings buttons, but the tone and volume of the message alert is much too faint. Does anyone else only...
