Last year while attending MATS (before we started driving) we noticed several FECC trucks in a group. Is there a designated area for C and D units? We woould like to meet some of our fellow drivers.:)
I doubt you remember us but we were admiring your truck at the Troy Freightliner dealership when you apologized to us when we told you we had a Freightliner by Alumi Bunk. Apology accepted, we get 9-10.22 mph depending on the load.
:P
Confused. Need help on selecting a generator. Proheat or Rigmaster or something else out there I'm not aware of that's worthy of it's price. Looking for heat and air.
We had the extreme pleasure of meeting Terry this week. He was at the J in Pontoon Beach IL, across the river from St Louis. He was very informative and helpful and has a comic sense of humor. Thanks for your insight, we enjoyed it. I felt like a met a celebrity. Hope to see you at the truck...
We are now home after 30 days on the road. Fed Ex is wonderful, I can't say enough about their headquarters in Green Ohio, I was very impressed with the professional and friendly staff. In 30 days we hit 23 states and Ontario. We were down 5 days due to air conditioning problems in three...
I thumbed through The Next Exit and wondered if it would be money well spent, I might pick that up on your recomendation. We too are doing the lo carb thing but several resturants are picking up on it and serving decent meals. We only plan on one meal out a day. Personally I think this will...
With every bit of luck we should be in orientation July 19th with out the luck by July 21st. Trying to get all the last minute detils(base plates, proof of ins, physicals, drug tests and picking up the truck in Detroit (we're across the river from St Louis) coming back home, loading up then...
Hey thanks gal and guys. We are driving for Fed Ex. We have a 84 inch sleeper with micro, fridge and sink, but no potty (maybe next time). I really didn't know if we needed to take our own towels. This is totally new to us but more exciting than anything we have have done so far. It's so...
We are two weeks away from orientation. I would like to hear some survival tips from the ladies out there. Where are the best showers? What is essential to carry in the kitchen? Etc.
Well, we have narroned the truck choice down to 2. But now we find financing for the one really want is not going to happen because of our inexperience. Any sugestions of where to go for financing for a newcomer?:-( :-(
Tell me your opinion....Alumi-bunk or AAsleepers or if you have a better suggestion let me know. I'm spec'ing 84", double bunks, TV/VCR, Fridge, Micro, must have sink.
Hey thanks everyone for the input. This is a big career change for us and we want to check out every nook and cranny. We are mid 40's to 50 yrs old and have lost alot in the steel industry and certainly don't want that to happen to us again. I think this forum is the best thing we have found...
I am trying to decide between two trucks one of which is with Alumi-bunk. I am finding them to be very pushy, the salesman has "choosen" a truck for us even though it is not what we want. The salesman insists this is what FedEx wants me to have. Somethings not right in Detroit. Your message...
We are a team expecting to be rolling in July..but hold the phone I have just been diagnosed with diabetes any info on med insurance that will take me will be helpful
Thanks for the input. Actually we spent the evening crusing this site and found some very helpful answers. We also attended the MATS in Louisville and talked with several team drivers who were leased to FedEx, none of them had nothig bad to say. We have done part of our homework I am just...
We are signing with Fed Ex CC but are not sure about purchasing a new truck for $80+. Our payment will be about $1800/mo, is this feasable? Also would like to hear from some team drivers with Fed Ex?
Thanks
