FedEx Changes Deadhead pay and FSC

It's my understanding if you don't sign, you get your run percentage and zero FSC. I personally would prefer an option to go either way depending upon my business model.

FedEx Changes Deadhead pay and FSC

Received my info in the mail today. At first glance, I think I prefer the old FSC system based upon percentages. Time will tell! Discounted loads may pay a 'little' more, full tariff loads will pay a 'lot' less. Am I wrong in my analysis?

    dock high

I believe that dock high references the ability of a tow motor to enter the truck body. As it is impossible for that to happen on a van, it is totally irrelevent.

    Four Star Award Party

It appears to me that the safety component should consider miles driven, rather than runs taken as the mitigating factor. Where does our contractor's committee stand on this issue?

I personally think that netting $600.00 for two days work and being home every night is a good deal.

    Just thinking out loud

Greg: Couple of questions? How did you get on with FEDEX CC as I thought they were not taking on vans at this time? Secondly, how did you get them to accept a 1999 unit? Welcome to the fleet, I'll hope to meet you somewhere long the way in the future. Bill ----- Unit B4257

    whats up with EGL?

Went thru same BS with Cleveland terminal earlier this year. Appeared to me as though the corporate people in Houston and the local people don't speak the same language. I would punt and move on.

    wants vs needs

I found that the temperature and compass feature on my rear view mirror to be of great value. E-trac on floor is a must feature in a van! PS: I have never found the need for a GPS system. Qualcom + compass + state maps + hi-intensity light + local input have always been sufficient...
