07's don't have DPF. I'm assuming you have an 08. Normal is around 1100 inlet and outlet. If you have high inlet temps (stored in system protection data), around 1300, you have an airflow problem. You won't see this during a manual regen, only during auto regen. Record then reset the temps...

They should have done the injector cups at the same time they did the head gasket. You got screwed on that deal. And injectors just don't fail immediately. Nor does an injector job cost nearly that much. You need a diagnosis from someone who knows what they're doing.

The head gasket is leaking externally. This is a problem, but it's not the problem with the whistling sound. If you're replacing the turbo, I would get an installation kit. It has all the parts you need.
