NightCreacher, Sorry to hear of your unfortunate series of events. Don't beat yourself up over decisions made. I am sure this is not the first mistake you've made, nor will it be the last...It is the human condition. (and a sign of the times..) Between 3 divorces and at least as many...

Are CV's More "Relevent" given new market conditions...

I tend to agree there will be more 3 skid loads for the longer runs...My concern is that profitablely in this market might be negated by increased competition...ie..there are a few more loads...but there are a lot more vans to take them. this would result in overall lower revenues for cargo...

Are CV's More "Relevent" given new market conditions...

I thought I'd throw this out for discussion with the "EO Oracles" (I kinda like that term...) Given the new market conditions...i.e. stronger regulations, new HOS, black boxes...do you think cargo vans will become more revelent. And as a result get the longer runs. Part 2.... Do you...

Last time Diesel chased $5.00, did it impact the number of loads you delivered?

As I remember, the overall "feeling" for that year was that I actually did better than usual because my company had a fuel surcharge at the time. I had a fairly fuel efficient truck and actually made more money with the high fuel surcharges. Overall revenue was down from the prior year but...

    It gets old

I have always thought there should be a fuse box at the front of the the box underneath with 5 seperate circuits. Driver top, Driver Bottom, Passenger Top, Passenger Bottom and Rear... This would make it SO much easier to Locate a marker light problem!!! Also I have heard the new...

    Question about insulation.

Foam and board and Reflectix I found to be very messy, time consuming....and worthwhile. Sprinter has been very comfortable in all types of weather. I would reccomend setting aside the time and just getting the job over with. If you do a little, then run for a while and come back to it..Job...

    Solo Drivers

Expediting has a pattern, A loose one, but there is a pattern. Most loads will come between 13:00 and 19:00. You will probably drive till 04:00 to 10:00. I finish my load, Eat a good meal..(This always makes me sleepy) and get 4 to 6 hours of rack time. I wake up, usually have enough time...
