Who or which doctor is telling someone to take horse medicine?
The person I know telling others to take horse medicine is not a doctor. He is a former friend of mine who advocates it on his Facebook page, where I saw it, and presumably elsewhere. He was using my Facebook feed to advocate the practice too, until I blocked him. When I called him out for practicing medicine without a license and prescribing to others a medication he literally knew nothing about, he persisted; unmoved by the articles I showed him discouraging the practice.

Beyond that, I personally know no one who is advocating horse medicine for COVID-19, but someone or some people clearly are.

About Ivermectin itself, including doses and formulations prescribed for humans ...

"While a few studies have suggested ivermectin could help treat COVID-19, more rigorous research has found limited impact, if any.

"'The reason for the interest in ivermectin is that studies in the lab have shown it can block viruses from multiplying in experimental settings – i.e. in a petri dish – and so people hoped this would mean it could help treat COVID-19 in people too," Dr. Denise McCulloch, an infectious disease specialist with the University of Washington's School of Medicine, previously told USA TODAY. 'Unfortunately, the few high-quality studies that have been done to date do not demonstrate a beneficial effect of ivermectin when it is used in people with COVID-19.'" (Source)

This is apples and oranges. Because people are erroneously taking the animal form of Ivermectin doesn’t mean doctors should stop prescribing the human version of it to treat the virus. It’s not the same thing.
Sometimes people do stupid stuff.

I presume most doctors follow FDA guidlines and therefore presume most doctors do not prescribe Ivermectin for COVID-19. For those who do, what is your basis for saying they should prescribe human doses to treat the virus?

At present, there is no proper-research evidence that Ivermectin works as a treatment for COVID-19.

"A recent review of 14 ivermectin studies, with more than 1,600 participants, concluded that none provided evidence of the drug’s ability to prevent Covid, improve patient conditions or reduce mortality. Another 31 studies are still underway to test the drug." (Source)

"Ivermectin has been called a Covid "miracle" drug, championed by vaccine opponents, and recommended by health authorities in some countries. But the BBC can reveal there are serious errors in a number of key studies that the drug's promoters rely on. ..."

"In February, Merck - one of the companies that makes the drug - said there was "no scientific basis for a potential therapeutic effect against Covid-19". (Source)

Ivermectin is a fairly cheap drug. Could be monetary and politically reason for that statement. Dig deeper.

If only ivermectin was a "cure" for covid, did you see the price of the drug that they are submitting for emergency authorization?
Which is better, $700 pills that can be taken anywhere, or $2,000 infusion treatments that are given at infusion centers or other medical facilities, or vaccinations that help prevent infections or reduce the severity of the disease (and deaths) at a fraction of these prices?

Food for thought on the actual mortality rate of Covid 19 ?
The Origins and Development of Upside-down America ⋆ Brownstone Institute
Pretty interesting article. Since people won't read it or will dismiss it because it might be, maybe, possibly, be politically biased. But just the same, the numbers are what they are. People have long known or suspected the pandemic itself, and certainly the response to it, doesn't pass the smell test. For nearly two years virtually nobody has died of the flu, or from from heart attacks, or car accidents, or even falling off ladders. They've all died instead from covid-19.

There's no getting around the fact that over the last two years the number of total deaths from all causes actually went down... during a deadly pandemic. You may ask yourself how it's possible that a deadly pandemic can cause so many deaths and yet total deaths have gone down. The answer of course is that it's not possible.

That's because this pandemic has been politicized to a level heretofore unknown in the annals of outbreaks, epidemics, and pandemics. It's smoke and mirrors wrapped in fear tactics due to an insatiable lust for power.

For example, we have a long and well documented history of herd immunity and how it works, the rough percentages required for a given population to be immunized (through natural immunity, acquired immunity, or vaccinated immunity) before herd immunity becomes a factor. That percentage is between 65 and 75 percent of a population being immunized one way or another.

The CDC, out of habit, said the same thing. Because it's true. Fauci and other experts in immunology and infectious diseases said the same thing. But then, two things happened - the vaccine was developed under Trump, and Biden promised that every American would be vaccinated. Suddenly those same experts, completely devoid of any new medical data to support it, changed their tune to say that we need at least 95% of the population vaccinated to achieve herd immunity. Not 95% of the population being immune by one method or another, but vaccinated, because suddenly, for no reason, acquired and natural immunity wasn't good enough.

And Biden is in a world of hurt. He's got a pile of crises stacked like cord wood beside the log cabin. He needs a big win. And quickly. He's about to lose the governor's chair in Virginia and the midterms are building up to be a disaster for him. So he will soon get the CDC to declare herd immunity is among us, despite being nowhere near the 95% they said was necessary, or even the 75% we know it needs to be. He will lift the vaccine mandate, though still strongly advise people to get it out of an abundance of caution. He will lift the mask mandate, but still advise people wear one, out of an abundance of caution (again, unless you're eating, because everybody knows you can't get covid if you're eating).

The media has already started prepping us for it. They've been featuring the good news stories of lower reported infections, fewer hospitalizations and deaths, something they have reported on in the past when it happened, but never featured as a big deal. The media wants to make sure the peasants are primed and ready for the good news, so the peasants won't question things. There will be a collective sigh of relief, and Biden will be hailed as the hero we've always wanted but didn't deserve.

I crack myself up.

I agree the vaccine price is a downright bargain compared to the treatments.

Some of my coworkers were talking recently about vaccinations. One of them had the virus already. His doctor advised him not to get the vaccine shot because he has a history of heart problems and the vaccine may cause myocarditis. The other coworker has a history of blood clots and her husband as well. She hasn’t had the virus. The doctor advised her to get the vaccine. But she is reluctant to get it because of concerns about the vaccine causing blood clots.
Just passing this along from what I’ve been seeing.

People who opposed vaccine mandates on the basis that such mandates are unconstitutional are finding the courts do not agree. It seems the government does indeed have the right to impose vaccine mandates. This is not new. That was established by law and upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court long ago.

"Over 20 states and "dozens of cities" have implemented vaccine mandates as a way of controlling COVID — and in at least 17 lawsuits, notes the Journal, "judges appointed by both Democrats and Republicans have refused to block" the requirements." (Source)

The power is not total. See this for more.

Is COVID-19 like the flu? Many people said it was early on. Now it is clear. COVID-19 is not like the flu.

There is no such thing as "long flu." But "long Covid" is a thing.

Excerpt: "The study, which describes the the kinds of cognitive problems experienced by patients who had been treated at the Mount Sinai system in New York, adds to the growing evidence that Covid "long haulers" can experience myriad ailments weeks and months after recovering from the initial illness. As many as 24 percent of people who have recovered from Covid-19 continue to experience some sort of cognitive difficulties, including problems with memory, multitasking, processing speed and focusing, researchers at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai reported Friday in JAMA Network Open."
