Moisture also lowers the boiling point of the brake fluid.
If you get enough water in brake fluid, you can start boiling eggs in it, while braking.
There was a book from the seventies, had how many miles to cook a potato on the manifold for example lol "Cooking with your Car" or something

Edit "Manifold Destiny" it was updated for 1998

In the case of a 2003 E350 it can be lowered enough to cause the brakes to do nothing on a hot day and slide into the back of a Jeep. At 40 mph

Coincidentally I was also eating a hot dog at the time
Who uses brakes nowadays, anyway?

We had a lot of Simoleons that worked at LAX, that would wire a package to a fuel trucks manifold. In it was a whole chicken, onions, potatoes and such.

Around noon you could see them out looking for the truck.

I know how hot our cheap ass rotors get after coming down the steep grade with 2500 pounds on there smoking ! With only two or three at most more loads to go I'm more so certainly not worried about it !
AhHa! So you admit you are not ready to quit yet!
