Does it seem like there's a discrepency between the attitude of the general population and the polls we see published by the mainstream media? Surely these polls aren't skewed or slanted to reflect the MSM bias!!

DENVER — A University of Colorado economic model that has correctly predicted the last eight presidential elections shows Mitt Romney emerging as the victor in 2012.Ken Bickers, professor of political science at the University of Colorado Boulder, and Michael Berry, political science professor at the University of Colorado Denver, announced Wednesday that their state-by-state analysis shows the Republican capturing a majority of electoral votes.
"Based on our forecasting model, it becomes clear that the president is in electoral trouble," said Mr. Bickers, who also serves as director of the CU in DC Internship Program.
The results show President Obama winning 218 votes in the Electoral College, well short of the 270 required for victory. While the study focuses on the electoral vote, the professors also predict that Mr. Romney will win 52.9 percent of the popular vote to Mr. Obama's 47.1 percent when considering only the two major political parties.
The analysis factors in a host of economic data, including state and national unemployment figures and changes in real per capita income.
"What is striking about our state-level economic indicator forecast is the expectation that Obama will lose almost all of the states currently considered as swing states, including North Carolina, Virginia, New Hampshire, Colorado, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida," Mr. Bickers said...

Remember that at relatively this same point in time during Jimmy Carter's re-election campaign he was nine points ahead of Reagan. We all remember what the final results were. Hopefully these guys are right again.

Reagan wanted to win and tried to win. He used humor and had much better speech writers. The percentage of working people to "gemmie goobers" was much different back then as well.

Still..considering how bad Obama is...that the race will be that close...

Only time will tell. There is a LOT of so-called 'early voting' now, gives the illegals more chances to vote more often, same with all those dead voters in Chicago.

It MIGHT be close if Romney was trying to win instead of trying so hard not to lose.

He may have all the ammunition but he has not loaded the gun or fired the shots. Don't expect him too. Just another politician. NO guts!

he is playing too nice....

He is not even playing. One cannot have the courage of one's convictions and not offend SOMEONE! He either has the GUTS to say what he thinks needs done and how he would like to do it, OR, he does not. In other words, put up or shut up. Another McCain campaign. I don't think they WANT to win. The more power Obama takes from the people, the more THEY have next time THEY get in. They are just smart enough to allow Obama to do their dirty work for them. NEITHER party gives a HOOT about the People.

Are you even paying attention to what is going on or just repeating what is in militia monthly. This is nothing like the main campaign. Choosing Paul Ryan as vp proves he is in it to win it and he is going to win.

He's not going to win with non-stop attack ads; Romney-Ryan will win by spelling out a positive plan for the future that offers some specific details to get the economy back on track. He's on the way to accomplishing that with his energy plan that concentrates on harvesting our natural resources like oil, natural gas and coal. For an example of how this approach works we only have to take a look at ND, TX and PA. The American public already knows Obama has a miserable economic record, so he doesn't have to concentrate on that - just offer a few reminders (see the link below) every now and then. Just remember: "It's the economy stupid!"

I have never read "Militia Monthly", I have never even heard of it. Thanks for reading for me and passing the information along.

Choosing Paul Ryan only proves he is looking for votes from places he can't get them. It seldom works. My opinions are my own, based solely on my beliefs and observations. Romney is afraid to offend anyone. He will not make any effort to win. That is how I see it. IF he changes and makes a real effort, I will see it. Not that it matters, I don't like him at all. I would rather vote for a dead rat.

It's a win-win for the media. Obama wins and they can feel right proud of influencing the election. If Romney wins they can sell it as a stunning upset and milk months of expert analysis out of it.

"A University of Colorado economic model that has correctly predicted the last eight presidential elections shows Mitt Romney emerging as the victor in 2012."

There's a chicken in Chinatown that's been doing that since the 50's. Also plays a mean game of Tic-Tac-Toe.
