Love the line about police officers were unable to give chase LOL :p

BBC

A farmer in the US state of Vermont who was facing a minor drugs charge is now in more serious trouble after driving a tractor over seven police cars.

Roger Pion crushed the county sheriff's cruisers on Thursday before making his getaway on the farm vehicle.

The 34-year-old was stopped by police in Newport city, northern Vermont, not far from the crime scene.

Sheriff's deputies were unaware of the destruction in their department car park until a resident called 911.

'Monster jam rally'

Orleans County Sheriff Kirk Martin said they were initially unable to give chase as their cars had been wrecked.

No-one was injured in the incident.

Rene Morris, who saw the crash, told a local news station: "I felt like I was in a monster jam rally or something.

"I just couldn't believe it, just backing up going over it, turns around makes his way to the other vehicles smashes those up."

Mr Pion was detained last month accused of resisting arrest and marijuana possession, said police.

He was in custody on Thursday evening, facing a number of additional charges.

I loved the fact that the cops were oblivious to the mayhem in their parking lot, until someone called 911.
And that many commenters offered to contribute to the guy's defense fund, lol.
After getting dinged for yet another trivial 'violation' on a Level 1 inspection [1 adhesive reflector fell off] a few days ago, I understand the frustration perfectly. 114 perfect items on the checklist, and the inspector has to write up a stick- on item that didn't stick?!

ok now, No. 1, how come the cops could not hear all that nosie? cops were playing xbox.

No. 2, are there not video cams on the parking lots? ( over sight, fire someone now)

No.3, someone was sleeping on watch, or at donut shop, or watching EOL

No.4, give hearing test to all officers at local tractor dealership. Listen to tractors run and have flashcards given to said officers to remember what a farm tractor looks like, imho

My favorite imaginary visual: the moment when the 911 operator realized that the location of the vehicles being crushed was 1: right outside her window, and 2: right where she parked her own vehicle.

OVM: thanks for the reminder. That's the second time in 6 months, the first being the license plate attached to front bumper [where it wouldn't blow off & possibly decapitate someone before I figured out how to reinforce the flimsy SC plates].
And LEOs wonder why people come to feel like AMonger?
Anyways, I did get the CVSA sticker on the windshield, for whatever that's worth. [I know: $250, sigh.]
