Two TSA Agents who were working at JFK Airport have been charged with stealing $160,000.00 from passengers checked luggage.
I'm kinda wondering lately if TSA actually screens their prospective employees?

They have a VERY interesting system for hiring. At least they did about 8 years ago. It was FUNNY!! So was the pay. You got to start at 25 hours a week. Split sifts, 4 hours in the morning then 2 in the afternoon. Buy your own uniforms and pay for your parking at the airport. All for 12.85 per hour. What a GREAT JOB! After I turned them down 3 times they quit botheriing me.

I never applied there, but about 3 years ago I was waiting at the Airport in Detroit to fly to Wisconsin and was approached by a not too bad looking female TSA agent and after a few minutes she gave me some paper work to apply for a job at the Detroit airport TSA..First and Last time that has happened. I don't know if they were on a recruiting campaign or what.

It was kind of funny. It took about 6 months. After passing all of the "tests", back ground checks, physicals etc. they offered me the job. I laughed at them.

I read the papers she gave me on the plane and left them in the back of the seat in front of me.
