GM is the toughest on the ten year rule. It really is a by-product of old trailers. Some guard shacks will check the mfg plate on the door of the truck or the box upon arrival. Again it is plant by plant as to how much this is enforced. I know that GM in Indy and Syracuse are strict on the rule. We have had to cross dock and have freight re-delivered due to being refused at the plants.

FortWayne... you just got a truck. Take your time getting another one. No offense, but you don't know the difference between Memphis and Little Rock. Learn the biz part of the biz.

John,
I'm wondering if the freight you are delivering is from NLM or the services are directly from GM through a vendor contract?

There are a total of 7 GM contracts I hold. All the same language. Actually almost exact. Everytime you provide a 3PL services you sign the same contract and then we are direct with GM thru Canada and Mexico and also a preferred direct ground carrier which are also seperate.
