1998 FL70 fuel tank question

I have a 1998 FL70 with a 3126. Anyway, my fuel tanks are 100 gallons each. My fuel tanks are not equalizing. I have about 80 gallons of diesel in my passenger side tank and not very much in my drivers side tank.

I did blow the vent lines out on each tank to make sure they were clear.

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Your cross over may be plugged or your fuel return is not putting fuel back in the drivers side.

I haven't crawled under there to look just yet, but where where the fuel return be located? I assume its a valve?

I'll blow the crossover line out with air.

Thanks,

It is on the inside lower third of the tank, and you will have to drain a lot of fuel out of it unless you want to get wet. Some of them have valves some don't but the right tank is the tank that feeds the engine and the left is the return fuel tank.

Greg,

Right tank meaning passenger side? and left side meaning drivers side?

I just got in and won't be able to do anything 'til in the morning (family things I need to do today).

Right tank meaning passenger side? and left side meaning drivers side?

Yes, the right or far side is where the passenger sits and the left or near side is where the driver drives.

Not trying to be a smarta**.
