LOL!!! I don't have any idea how they figure our FSC, but then again i don't care....all i look at is how much it pays total per mile.......and 75% of the time i except the run before i even know that.....

Gee Ken, first you were whining about a dime and now it's over .004 of a penny? Are ya showing some Scottish heritage or what?:D

Sincerly,
Your FedEx pal (where the FSC is done to the tenth of a cent).

We are on fixed fsc at Fedex. We get paid fsc on every mile before, during and after the load provided we are locating where we are suggested/requested to locate. If we decline their requested positioning and do our own thing then no fsc on that leg. The following doesn't format for screen viewing but you can figure out which of the 4 categories is which.

Fuel Surcharge

The U.S. National average price of diesel fuel is $3.074 per gallon. The West Coast average price of diesel fuel is $3.203 per gallon. Using these averages, the following fuel surcharges apply for the week of April 20-26.
B C/D CR/DR E
National Fuel Surcharge $0.1233 $0.2056 $0.2337 $0.3083
West Region Fuel Surcharge $0.1333 $0.2222 $0.2527 $0.3333

Piper if they did it to the 10th we'd be getting .12...:D

When I was at X1 the fsc wasn't a fixed rate as I recall. I think that went into place a few months after I left. When I was with them they were far different than today. The midwest rate was probably fairly accurate as that was the concentration of service area. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me they are much more diversified now with almost national coverage so why not use national average. Either way, why not pay fsc based on the tenth of a cent which in this case would at least be 11.9 if they insist on rounding down or 12 if they round mathematically.
