So is it a cultural thing or is it an industrial thing?
If it is a cultural thing, maybe bringing it up to the world court will not be useful seeing the EU also controls the output of farms and food processors that is also cultural, like some of the dairy processors being forbidden to make certain types of cream products.

A little and a lot of both I would say...the dining room thing is more symbolic then anything...
The harp seal hunt has been going on for well since forever...The seals will NOT go extinct and not in danger of extinction....
Like not all deer die instantly and need another dhot to put them out of their misery they lie there for minutes in pain and suffering Why not ban the deer hunt after all they all cute as Bambis...

Not to worry, OVM, they have been trying to ban ALL hunting, fishing and trapping in this country for YEARS. They have won a few. Just as they have in Canada, like banning spring bear hunting in Ontario.
Our deer here, in North America, are NOT "Cute Bambis" Bambi was a Red Deer Stag (male red deer) These deer are NOT native to North America but are in Europe, England and Ireland.
Our native deer in North America include, WhiteTail, Mule Deer and a couple of other sub-species. They are all closely related to the White Tail. The exception to that rule is the Pronghorn, Elk, and Moose. The Elk is North America's closest relative to the Red Deer only the Elk is MUCH larger on average.
The beaver is becoming quite a pest here in SD it has recovered very well...they are discussing reinstating trapping then watch beaver lovers go crazy!
MOST animals and birds that are classed as Game are in VERY good shape or recovering nicely. The ONLY REAL problem facing wildlife is destruction of their habitat. The lose of habitat has many causes ranging from urban sprawl to the fixes of so-called "Climate Change".
