Sounds to me that Ann Woolner is a bitter o'fart from the far left. Her opinions are what most Libs want to hear....At least she didn't blame Bush for the health bill......

You sound like a broken record....It's always soemthing about the "libs" or the left. blah blah blah.. Lying has nothing to do with which side you are on. Lying is lying..

It must really suck to be so paranoid....

it's not realing being paranoid if your right or maybe there is nothing wrong with parania if your right.

England tries very hard to cover up the fact they do from time to time have to make life or death Decision on health care becouse of no funding. Then the BBC or sky blows there cover in the press, the problem here in the usa is exept of fox maybe and a few radio staions or news papers(read very few),if that did happen it would go unreported in most "news services" if it made a leftist adminasration look bad

I don't need you to introduce me to the people you know who lived it. I have them in my own family. That is why I am here now. As far as the "death squads" you speak of, those aren't what the death panel is about. If you want to know about so called "death squads" who hunted escapees down that did in fact exist in this country, you could talk to just about any black person that is a descendant of a slave. It did happen here.

No, but you have NO idea just how bad it is in places like England. Care cut off if you are too old or too young. VERY sub-standard care. SO on and so forth. WHY IS it that SOOOO many people who are otherwise fairly smart STILL believe that government health care is a good thing? With the track record of leftest goverments last century, and the track record of ALL the failed leftest/socialist programs in THIS country, what in the world make you think that THIS socialist health system being proposed here will work? It WILL get VERY bad. Government is NEVER the answer, unless you want MORE dead.

I don't know what a life or death "distion" is, but if you do a google search of the word, it comes back with a connection to a ".ru" website. Now, put on your tin-foil hats and run with that bit of info.

I don't have a tinfoil hat yet. Barry's government run tinfoil hat program is not yet up and running. Since I have been required to pay for ALLLLL those other freebie Barry give away programs I have no money left to buy the tinfoil to make the hat!!! I will have to wait for Barry to buy it for me.

You have very obviously not paid any attention whatsoever to what my opinions are on nationalized medicine. The only item I have posted that would give you even an iota of an inkling that I would approve of it is the post I made a couple days ago from the guy who claimed his family benefitted from it. I myself don't like it , and I don't want it. You see a couple words and you just launch into your standard rant about leftists, the coward, the anti christ, etc. etc. blah blah blah..... You have 2 eyes, 2 ears, and one mouth for a reason.

Ann Woolner has published an opinion, and hers is no better or worse than anyone else's at this point. The fact that the Senate has removed the "end of life counseling" language from their bill tell us something about the intent of this proposal. This bill is only in its embryonic form, and there's no telling what it will look like once the pols get through making their changes in the dead of night assuming it ever goes to the floor for a vote.

The govt. has no business "counseling" anyone regarding their personal matters; how our senior citizens live out their golden years should be the business of themselves and their families. It will only become the govt's business when it becomes the sole provider for everyone's health care and is forced to ration that care. That's when they will counsel grandma on why it's better for the common good that she just take a pain pill and die sooner rather than later.

Palin and others can see where this language is headed, and she has used the left's own tactic of overstatement against them. Not too long ago the left was using the same type of exaggerations about Social Security being taken away when Bush was talking about reforming it. And who can forget the "withering on the vine" quote the Democrats used completely out of context from a Newt Gingrich speech? Palin used the "Death Panel" phrase extremely effectively, and it may turn out that this tactic of hers will be responsible for defeating socialized health care in this country.

Having just spent 8 nites & 9 days, as a patient in a local hospital, I feel qualified to speak on at least MY exposure to government-run health care. Forgive me if this runs a little long.

My Pulmonologist gave me my admission papers, while I was at his office, Mon. morning. I then went back home and gathered my "necessaries", for, what I already knew, from past episodes, would be at least a week's stay.

I drove myself to admissions and took advantage of their valet parking(on my dime) and was greeted warmly. They use palm recognition gizmos to check you in, so that didn't take long. Then upstairs we went.

After a rather lenghty medical history interview, treatments/IV's were begun. A 500mg bag of one kind of antibiotic per day, a 50mg bag of another, a 40mg syringe of So-u-Medrol(a steroid)4x a day IV push, and nebulizer breathing treatments every 4 hrs. around the clock.

The treatment could not have been better. The people, from housekeeping up, could not have been better. I was treated no differently than a millionaire would have been. And, remember, I'm dependent on "the Government" for my health care. Medicare IS socialized medicine, whether you accept that label or not.

I accept it and I am grateful.

If you read all the way to here, thanks for doing so.

Under the NEW IMPROVED Obama care Medicare is going to be CUT to help pay for everyone elses care. That cut is to the tune of 500 BILLION IF I remember that number correctlly. Be VERY careful what you as for. In England YOU would NOT get that treatment. I know, a friend of my DIED of the say malady you suffer from. Once he was over 60 they STOPPED real treatment and switched over to "keeping him comfortable".

Do the math, you cannot add 57 million (IF that number is correct) new patients into the system and have costs go down. There is ALREADY a shortage of doctors, nurses and other health care workers. Cost will jump dramaticlly!!

Medicare is running out of cash, in almost NEVER on budget and racked with fraud.

I am happy to hear that you are again out of the hospital and understand your view point. It is unfortunate that you have not been able to see what the end result is likely to be. Obama's STATED goal is to have a "single pay" system not unlike that on in England. Try to study what that is like and how that system go out of their way to "keep you comforable".

Finally, a voice of reason on this subject!

And this one......

The model for Obama's Death Panels already exists, having been created for the VA during the Clinton administration:

Jim Towey: The Death Book for Veterans - WSJ.com
Thank you both and if anyone wants to know more about the "Death Book", Chris Wallace is doing a report on it tomorrow on Fox's Sunday Morning show, which is actually replayed at different times during the day, I catch it at 6 PM Eastern.

JMHO....Death Panel/Death Book...all the same....each and every time my son goes back and forth to Afghanistan, the government requires him to update his will and I'm sure, included in that, is whether or not he has a living will. That should be IT...PERIOD...some of the stuff written about in that WSJ article should not be touched by the government.....that's a private family matter.

Sarah Palin didn't lie, she's just following the matter to it's obvious conclusion.
