Have You Hugged an EO Moderator Lately?

I had a phone conversation last week with a well known trucking radio personality and he commented on how informative and friendly the EO forum boards are run.

He said compared to other trucking online communities that he visits that "EO is in a league of it's own".

"Professional, Informative & Business Oriented", he said.

WOW!

I told him our boards are self-governed by VOLUNTEER owner-operator moderators, he was amazed.

I'm not.

Like many of you - they contribute many, many hours to the success of this community.

Thank you.

Thank you moderators...and Dale!

Good Post but it's true. We have some great mods and people on EO.

I'd have to state that it's more the quality of the members who contribute. They make our jobs, as mods, that much easier. Expediters are not truckers in the traditional sense. They come from all walks of life; and generally know how to follow the rules and treat others with civility. As you pointed out in another thread, LM, the members policed the offender without mods getting involved. And, to me, that is the oil that keeps this finely tuned machine running.

Not arguing with you. Just giving credit where credit is due. :)

I appreciate the job the mods do but I do like my personal bubble of space as well. Hugging, especially the guy mods just isn't on my ajenda. I hope this isn't percieved as politically incorrect or too conservative. I'm just not into hugging guys. Perhaps if I took some classes to get in touch with my inner self, I could change. I blame it on my Celtic genes. People of Mediteranian or Latin decent are more comfortable with hugging. Even figurative hugging makes me uncomfortable so I'll just have to say "THANKS" at a distance.

Now that ya'll are through patting yourselves on the back, Hawk are you saying that Expediters are the elite and better
than real truckers? :D

A wave or maybe a pat on the shoulder is quite sufficient, thank you. I also think the overall great group of members are a major factor in how good this forum is and that we also must include the excellent administrators and back office folks who make it all happen.

Thanks Lawrence, and thanks to all mods! (Big hug moment ;);) )

As Larry and Leo said, it's our members who make the difference. Most participate in several forums, and they know what does and doesn't work. I know we step on toes sometimes, but I love it when members jump in and explain the premise of this site.

So, KUDOS to the members! Thanks for all your posts, and for helping keep these boards THE professional place to be!
