Sometimes attitude is everything. Working with, instead of against can have great results.

I don't readily see a problem. Probably got pre-dispatched because there wasn't any trucks in Indy at the load booking time. The FL load likely followed because many would turn it down. No surprise.
If, his load cancelled, he likely got a first out at some point and recieved another load.
Again, I don't see anything unusual.

We've all had loads like that so we have to remember that when we're sitting for what seems like forever.

I think if you are posting someones unit number and acting like he is doing something wrong is nuts, he was sent the load offers and if he had any friends inside panther sending him the loads (Helllooooo) you posting his unit number is doing your side no good) maybe he is working hard and panther sees that or as was stated before we all have been in that shape before (lucky)
or we hit a board that no one is there at the time the load comes in. what is your unit number for panther ? I think if you can post his post yours its only fair, maybe the guys at panther will see your having it tough and send you some loads, but the bottom line is hang in there and your turn will come good luck

Plus he may have some special kind of endorsement or clearence needed or prefered to handle that load. If a certain clearence was needed and he was the only one available that could handle it what would be the point in offering it to someone else? I don't see the point in posting his unit number. He might not like you doing that. I know I wouldn't.

As posted periodically in other threads, dispatchers at Panther are not playing favorites. They are very busy all the time and don't have the time to be looking for their buddies and shuffling things around to benefit "special" units. I've had times where I was on a load and had another waiting before I got to the first cons. It doesn't happen often at all but once in a while it works out that way. There are definitely issues in dispatch but favoritism isn't one of them. If you're a Missourian do like I did and go sit with them for a day. It's eye opening.

They had 11 available cargo vans in Indy..some of them waiting for a load offer from monday there..I don't think this is fair

whitewolf, I understand you thinking his load offers were not fair but was it fair for you to post his unit number just because he got a load offer, and you did not I am sure panther took his unit and endosements into account I dont drive for panther nor do I plan to in the near future, at times things seam unfair, but when we try to make someone else look bad to make ourselfs look like the victim the problem is only going to grow. I am sure you have had load offers and no one posted a comment in this forum listing his info(unit #) I understand how it feels to sit for a few days and see others getting loads its hard but it goes with expediting nothing more nothing less. again hang in there.

Fair??? Life ain't fair!! How'd ya like to try and live in nature.

Anyway, betcha he is not the type fella that delivers a 5, pizzes around till 11 to sleep, and it too tired to run at 2.

Whom, if you were a dispatcher, call with a load offer?? We just might be onto something here.

First, it was 7 not 5 and second eating dinner, doing laundry and showering are hardly "pizzing" around. Considering the time needed to wash and dry even one load of clothes, eat a good meal that certainly we do not get to do often enough and take care of showering, that would make it perhaps 930. Would the extra 60-90 minutes of sleep have been enough to do a 13-14 hour day on top of the long day already done? Nobody can know, certainly not someone who wasn't even involved. Perhaps it would be better to try to offer helpful input rather than condemnation.

Well, skeeuseme Leo. Guess i've been corrected by someone involved. Anyway, if I were THAT tired, and THAT hungry, and THAT much in need of a shower, I betcha I could eat AND shower inside of an hour. Laundry would have to be put on the back burner and i'd snatch some cheapie threads off the rack to get by. If I really needed them. And be tipped over by 8.

It's a simple concept. It's called TIME MANAGEMENT. When things are banging, ya better learn to use that concept. Otherwise, ya have posts like this, or, others whining about being broke, because, they shot THEMSELVES in the foot.

Really pretty simple.

I don't understand why people have to post comments about how people should be doing things when they didn't ask for your advice. Why can't we build each other up? I know people will be saying I'm soft and I'm fine with that because I know what I am. I just don't see the point in making negative comments about someone that is not even involved in this post. Some people have to make others feel and look bad to make themselves look and feel good. They have some kind of complex. I know it feels good to me when people give me words of encouragement that's why I try to give them when I can. Had he said he was in the casino all night and turned down a load offer and now he has been sitting for three days I might point out that he should save the recreation for a 36 hour restart or weekend layover. Personally I don't feel like eating, showering, and laundry fall into the recreation category. Unless things have changed drasticly since I've been on the road there are a bunch of drivers that could use to follow his example and shower and wash clothes more often. Plus who wants dirty laundry just laying around? It's also cheaper to wash a load of clothes than it is to buy new stuff all the time.

I have a van leased to Panther. Sometimes its ok.The last two weeks I got about 1200 miles per week. Not great but Ok. I believe if you get a hazmat and will run in the klondike you can get more loads open to you. For the most part its not a bad outfit except when they pull you off loads with the 47 mph average for a cargo van.. Who on earth runs a cargo van that slow? I am looking to get back into the big trucks though.. A little more steady I think.

you need to learn the languge when alot of drivers say they have not gotten a load offer since last tuesaday what the really mean is i have not gotten a load offer with a FSC above $.70 all week.or where they want to go. i'm fairly sure that most of te trucks sitting on the big boards have been turning stuff down. been running my butt off in texas i can afford to take a .38fsc when fuel is 3.95-4.05.

dispatch will tell us can you please take this 6 other trucks have turned it down
