Mcain Yup he was a prisnor of war Ill give him credit where its due but I realy believe his altimers has kicked in as it seems he wants to carry on the Bush agenda. That is a bunch of crock. Now Ill support his drilling for Oil Ill give him points on that.

I can;t figure out why you keep saying he will continue the Bush agenda, he is far too liberal and far too ensconced in his own form of politics to continue anything from Bush, outside of Iraq.
READ THE BILL, I would have voted no too. McCain wanted to extend the rights for school to the spouses and children, not just allow anyone who joins to get a free ride, it is another entitlement.
The unfornate thing is you don't understand the difference between a paid hired (appointed) civil servant and an elected official, apparently you missed that one. It don't matter how old the person is, there seems to be a few things beyond your understanding - like the fact that there are safegaurds in the process not to allow a nut job to run.
Surprising that you brought up Kerry, I didn't. I didn't vote for him, he lied about a lot of things. Anyone who sits in front of congress and lies should not be in office. and who said that it was propaganda? There is such a thing as freedom of speech and these guys open their mouths and didn't seem to go down the same path as Dan Rather/CBS/Democratic party by producing falsified documents, did they?
I am stress free about politics dude, get a grip on things yourself. I am tired of people not thinking for themselves at the same time not willing to learn about how things work. The Office of the president is not an easy place to get to and there are so much stuff that goes on behind the scenes that most can't comprehend and if they did, they would not bring up age and all that cr*p.
Actually I am getting a lot of fresh air but I am not allowed to move around a lot, I am waiting for my 'escort' into another highly secured place for a pickup of special toilet paper for NASA.

I have only seen McCain's wife twice and in that time, I only saw her speak once. She didn't claim to be proud of her country for the first time in her life, we were not being told that we could not speak of her by her husband and she has yet to say what she thought of things.
The difference it this;
Obama's wife is what I see as an elitist where McCain's wife I don't see at all. Obama's wife is just like Hillary is, a person who will be another unelected idiot who will try to run things like they are elected. McCain's wife I see as Laura Bush, who does her own thing and not make claims that we got two for the price of one.
OH and you are sooooo wrong about not wanting to bring the wives into the campaign.
Obama wants his wife out there fighting for him, where I think McCain it is an after thought but Obama wants to make any criticism as a race/gender issue and he has said his wife is 'off limits' - too bad comrade Obama, don't have her open her mouth then.
The dems always interjected the wives into the picture to make them more wholesome and family friendly, like the pictures of Herr Hitler being surrounded by the little children in their Bavarian costumes, they want to portray the candidates as the helpers of families, not destroyers.

There was an article recently in the Wall Street Journal on Cindy McCain, John's wife. All I ever saw was this attractive woman standing beside John. I was surprised how talented and involved with world problems she is. This is a summary of the article. She graduated from Southern Cal and was a special-needs teacher.
After her Dad died she became involved with his beer distributing firm and is now the chairwoman. Sales have doubled since she has taken over from her father.
They have a marriage prenuptial agreement, her assets remain separate.
She is involved around the world clearing land mines - travels to these countries on a detonation team and service on their board.
They have a 19 year old serving in Iraq, another son in the Naval Academy, a daughter recently graduated from Columbia Univ., an adopted daughter in high school, and a son who is the finance guy at the beer firm.
Raised kids in Phoenix, Az rather than Washington DC. (better atmosphere) He commuted.
In 1991, Mrs. McCain came across a girl in an orphanage in Bangladesh. Mother Teresa implored Mrs. McCain to take the baby with severe cleft palate. She did so without first telling her husband. The couple adopted the girl who has had a dozen operations to repair her cleft palate and other medical problems.
They have a Family Foundation for children's causes.
She's active with "Halo Trust" - to clear land mines, provide water and food in war ravaged and developing countries.
She will join an overseas mission of "Operation Smile", a charity for corrective surgery on children's faces. She has had two back surgeries and became addicted to pain killers. She talks openly about it which she says is part of the recovery process.
I'm surprised the media is so quiet about her attributes. They have tired to discredit John McCain because of his wife's wealth; looks as if she knows how to put money and time to use in many good causes. What a novel thought to have such a fine person as "First Spouse" She sounds more capable than Hillary or Obama. We would really get two for the price of one. A person with business and international experience. John did work for the firm for awhile when he left the Navy. She, however, has the real business experience.

So this is all in what I posted, but the thing is the Kennedy's are as bad as if not worst.
JFK had several affairs while in congress, the senate and the WH. He used Secret service staff to setup and cover up things for him.
Teddy killed a girl.
FDR had a love affair for ....oh...... like 30 something years and died while in Warms Springs with his 'women' who was not his wife.
And we can't forget Bill Clinton who lied to the AMERICAN PEOPLE beside lying to his wife about his affair and he had a few people who came out of the shadows to warn us. So we are supposed to overlook Clinton's mess which led him to be impeached but we have to worry about something like McCain's which didn't mean a thing to the country at that time? Is there a double standard here?
Not to mention Eisenhower, Hoover, rumors of Nixon, and other republicans. Noticed I didn't mention Truman?
So I assume that as this guy who points out, being rich means that you are bad. And by divorcing your wife, means you can't hold office?
Tell you the truth, I don't like McCain. I am insulted by his assumption that no American will work picking lettuce and his sponsor of the immigration reform bill which is a slap in the face of every American BUT I also know about people like Obama, who are for oppression of the people to grow power among the politicians, something that McCain can also do but it is doubtful he could pull it off in his lifetime. The point is Obama will be more damaging to the country than McCain, Obama will continue the liberal agenda and bring more restrictions to freedoms and we will all pay for it in the end. McCain on the other hand is not an extension of Bush, far from it because he has been working with the Dems (Feingold for one) on a lot of things Bush is against, so I can't buy into that piece of propaganda at all.
I, like Leo will vote for the less of the two evils and will work hard to vote new people in to the house and senate for my district and state respectfully

Thats why I love America! You can vote for who you want you. I for one am not buying into the Cindy McCain has cleaned up her act.... you better do some good to offset the truth that your husband married into the mob- and it has financed your political career! There roots are rotten, and most important America when it comes right down to it will vote on policy! The economy is in the toilet- and McCain just like Bush doesn't have a CLUE what to do about that!

The economy is the cr*pper because of congress, they control things. Bush has limited powers to do anything about it.
McCain has admitted to not knowing about finances but my God we never had a president who has had a grip on it, they have advisers for that stuff.

Bingo. Cindy McCain is a stepford wife with a pile of money and an unknown agenda.
Her money is from a family owned tri state beer distrubution company. Having been in the bar/nightclub business for several years in San Fran,I know a thing or two about these guys. Tough pasta eating types favoring black Linclons with opera windows (73 models back then).
Their managers all had "nick names" like Bones and The Deacon etc. Little scary. When the teamster drivers went on strike,it was outright war with the distributors,with shots fired etc. I picked up all my beer direct at their shop with my 1941 Chevy 2 ton dually fire truck rescue wagon. A panal truck on steroids. It got too dangerous after a few trips to this place and I had to bring the beer in from another local.
My point is ,the devil you know is often better then the devil you don't know. Michelle Obama is a very bright woman who I happen to agree with on just about everything. I too was so ashamed of our country after the last 8 years of bonar boy . So to hear her proclaim we might be able to be proud Americans was an inspirering thing for me to hear. No need to claim to be Canadian on my overseas travels. Thank God.

I can't see me going another 4 years under a liberal president with a democratic controlled congress who has not delivered on ONE promise that they made to the American people, which includes a solid energy plan and getting us out of Iraq. In fact they have spent more time trashing the president than they have working. Their latest mess it the bail out of the banks under the guise of helping the people. Don't help the people keep their home when they get in trouble, help the people before by getting out of the way.

Our country is in real trouble not because of the president but because of congress and here is something we really need but again with a democrat, he refuses to drill, he refuses to allow nuke plants and he wants us to all suffer. What a great messiah we have here.

Comrade in the political sense is derived from the Russian word товарищ or tovarishch, which was redefined by the Bolsheviks.
