Is it that the people need to get off their a** and do something or is it that we need to elect Obama or Hillary to fix the problem by driving this country into another Great Britain?

My vote is for neither. I am not interested in making history. My interest is a true change in our political system. That means firing them all and doing a revote for who we put into Congress. Also, abolishing the political parties which creates a separation of people. Get rid of the political parties and you have unity. There is no solidarity the way things are now.
