I am watching Fox news, and at this very moment, several trucks are surrounding the capital building in Washington, protesting the cost of diesel fuel.

The footage they showed was mostly gravel haulers.

Its about time. I was on strike last week. It was easy to do because I was home after 5 weeks on the road.

I would imagine their point was to bring attention to the prices. In that, they succeeded.

If they hope to bring the prices down, I hope that works.

Let's all hold our breaths and see.

They did get someones attention? Got to be a very slow news day.

I wonder if anyone mentioned to them that the congress is out for the day on a field trip to the zoo.

Sure they got someone's attention. You and I are talking about it. And Fox news kept running it.

And it will have an effect. Tomorrow morning at the meeting, I am going to stand up and say "Dubya, Dick, come on let's do something about this.

No doubt Dubya and Dick will say "Make no mistake, you're absolutely right, Dcalien - we need to do something about this, right now!"
Then they'll issue an Executive Order banning trucks from within 5 miles of the Capitol..... Problem solved, Dubya style.
