Take advantage of good things. The longer we are in trucking the smaller the United States gets. We have friends all over the country and when we have a chance nothing is better than spending time with friends. We believe in taking advantage of opportunities and this weekend we had a great one.
I made it a point to go visit with Joe and see his Truckercise video. He had a small booth in the atrium of the convention center on the way to the Women in Trucking booth.
Bob Perry, The Trucker Trainer
Joe and I have exchanged several emails over the past few months and it was nice to put a face to the name.
I had another first at MATS which was to finally get to meet Bob Perry in person. What a very interesting person who is an inspiration for me to pursue a healthier lifestyle. Bob immediately struck me as someone who is very sincere and wanting to be involved with my continued success in leading a healthier lifestyle.
The Trucking Solutions Group
Our group has been together over two years and formalized our name last year. Chairman, Rick Ash does an awesome job keeping us all together and on track. We have a conference call that lasts at least an hour each week. We discuss current truck topics and our industry.
Mid America Trucking Show 2010
What a great time we had it is hard to believe it is over for another year. We were able to see people we had seen for a year and also to meet a lot of new people. We met drivers, engineers, OOIDA board members, people looking to get back into the business, and people just looking.
I have a few pet peeves and one of them is someone trying to tell about a really, really stupid show they just watched. Now my thinking is if it is so stupid why are you telling me about it? I do not like TV to begin with and this is one of the reasons.
Each weekend I look forward to doing the laundry. NOT! We can go two weeks if we have to, but I much prefer to out laundry done and not spend all day doing it. Some of the truck stops have really nice washers and dryers and others are worse than a hole in the wall.
How we attend MATS
We are preparing to head towards MATS for the 2010 truck show in Louisville, KY. We are hoping for a load going in that direction, but if no load comes through we are going anyway. This will be our fifth year to attend the show and each year we enjoy the show even more than the year before.
Winter is back
I thought we were out of the white stuff and I felt pretty confident about this as were heading south and planning on staying in the south for a few weeks. We felt pretty good in the eighty degree weather in Texas and even found some warmth in Ohio. Then the heat was gone.
Spring is in the air!
We are finally out of the snow and ice! I am hoping that we have seen the last of the white stuff for this year. I feel as if we have been lucky this year as we missed all of the ice. We have had snow and lots of that, but no ice!
