- A winter storm brings rain and snow along the coast from Washington to central California and inland to eastern Montana and Wyoming.
- Snow will be heaviest in the mountains with 10 to 15 inches of accumulation expected on average.
- A few higher spots could see 18 to 24 inches.
- Valley locations should generally have 1 to 6 inches with a few high spots up to 12 inches possible.
- salt lake City will see some minor accumulations
- Rain will be heaviest in southwest Oregon and northwest California with over an inch possible.
- An arctic air mass plunges into Montana today and Wyoming Saturday.
- Temperatures should fall in Montana during the day

- A stormy weekend looms
- A few light snow showers or flurries fall along the Canadian border from northern North Dakota through northern Michigan.
- No significant snow accumulation is expected today.
- Windy conditions with gusts over 40 mph are expected from Kansas to Michigan.
- Highs in the 20s and 30s are forecast from North Dakota to northern Michigan.
- Highs in the 40s and 50s occur in the central Plains to the Ohio Valley.
- Highs reach the 60s in Kansas.
- The western storm pushes a band of moderate to locally heavy snow through the northern Plains and upper Midwest tonight and Saturday.
- Snowfall accumulations of 6 to 12 inches are possible in South Dakota.

- High pressure builds into the region bringing a dry, but cool day for most areas.
- Lake-effect snow showers continue into the afternoon east of Lake Ontario.
- Additional accumulations should generally be 1 to 3 inches, although a few high spots of 4 or 5 inches are possible.
- Lighter flurries may continue through the morning east of Lake Erie in northern Pennsylvania and southwest New York.
- Temperatures will be chilly with readings up to 15 degrees below average across the entire region.
- High temperatures will be in the 30s north and 40s south.
